Where is Gaudreau’s notorious biggest fanboy who said Tkachuk was carried by Gaudreau?

One season away….. boom finalist for the hart

Gaudreau was always the better player when they were both Flames. Tkachuk never outshined Johnny as a Flame. That isn't to diminish Tkachuk, they were both superstars for the Flames, but Tkachuk was always 1b.

Tkachuk clearly proved he wasnt being carried
he was doing plenty for that line and wasnt a passenger

first season on a new team speaks for itself, how did his line mates from calgary do?

not surprised to gaudreau's biggest fan boy in here making excuses for him

No, what are you talking about... there is a legit curse from 1993.
It was a scumbag move that cost Gretzky his final shot at the Cup... and no Canadian team have won in 30 years since!
What more do you want!
Are you like Dan Shaughnessy, believing in ghouls and goblins?

Carried implies he would struggle away once that line moved on

So he struggled his way to hart trophy finalist.
Good luck explaining to Flames fans that Gaudreau was carried by Tkachuk.

The Florida version of Tkachuk was never seen in Calgary, and really has no bearing on what happened before

I never said that
Once it was known that all players were going to be on different teams and going their separate ways, and the best line in the NHL was broken up.

The narrative by gaudreau's biggest fanboy was Tkachuk was the overrated one on that line and it was clear who would regress.
new city, another 100 point season, hart trophy nomination, lead his team in scoring by a mile

maybe he wasnt the passenger on that line.

I didn't see the poster saying Gaudreau was being carried, just that Tkachuk was a contributor and not just leaching off JG.

Hawks were bad due to a cheap owner.
Rangers have the opposite, a owner that throw money out the window, because he thinks they can buy a cup.
how do you buy a cup in a salary cap league?

Fox was not drafted nor developed by the Rangers.
Fox was drafted 3rd round by the Flames but didn't want to play for them, he played his whole career for the Rangers. AKA homegrown. ever since he grew up watching Brian Leetch as a boy he's been bleeding Rangers Blue. sorry hater that's a homegrown Ranger.

I’ll exaggerate here but with that logic, 1/4 of the league would qualify as a homegrown Leaf.

He is considered a homegrown Ranger because he was developed there, not because he grew up a Rangers fan. My God you people will argue anything. You are worse than my wife...

I'm sorry I didn't mean that. You are not as bad as my wife.

He really wasn't though. He was developed by Harvard and the USNTDP. The rangers had very little to do with him becoming an elite defenseman. He was pretty incredible right off the bat, and wasn't even getting PP time.

Got his retirement contract in a place he felt he could fade into the background. Guys never been a gamer nor a playoff performer. He's good for points in the regular season.

Guys who are expected to consistently produce 115 pts get paid a lot more than $9.75m. Teams knew not to bank on Gaudreau maintaining that.

Did Calgary not offer him 10.5m per? I believe that was reported which would have made him the 10th highest paid player league wide today. He's the 17th highest paid player currently as is even with taking a lesser offer from Columbus.

He was 16th when he signed in Columbus. Had he taken the Flames offer at the time he'd have been tied for 8th highest paid overall with only 5 forwards (2 of them wingers) making more. Even with the lesser deal he got only 4 wingers make more than he does.

Add in this contract was done during a flat cap I'd say he was paid to be one of the highest scoring wingers.
