I love seeing Caufield and Laine being the ones to have to clear the front of the net.

Habs are one of the youngest teams of the NHL, and from the 4 nations, they were in the top of the teams.
This means that the system is good, but hard to play for the young players, so every time a player gets injured, they need time to get comfortable with the lines changes.

I have not issue using different systems it about execution but I feel like ideally it would be some kind of hybrid.

When they switching from M2M to zone our young D were getting crossed up. As season went on they improved. Big reason we made playoffs after disaster start to season. I think next season more improvement

They switched to man to man after they were getting killed playing hybrid. They will try to implement hybrid again next season since the staff knows from a winning perspective, winning teams play hybrid.
