Is he playing? I thought he was still recovering from training camp injury?

According to the coach, Bods is scheduled to see the doctor tomorrow, if he's ok, he will be placed on waivers & if he clears, he should be in Monarchs lineup for the 10am game on Wednesday.

Bods played his first game this morning. Did fairly well! Was skating well! Monarch won 5-1.

Nick Ebert

Hi there,

Guelph Storm fan here, wondering about folks' thoughts on Nick Ebert? How much ice time/where is he depth-wise with Manchester? Wouldn't mind seeing him back in Guelph for his OA year. Good call sending Leslie back, he's been making bad turnovers and is playing poorly since his return - not sure if he's upset to be back or has really regressed that much. Glad to hear Auger is doing well for you guys.

... Guelph Storm, the official supplier to the L.A. Kings.

He's been okay. He hasn't got a lot playing time, and is probably at the end of the depth chart. Everyone knows his skills with the puck. It his defense play that he's struggling with, and which will take some time to learn. Although I would like to see Stothers (head coach) use him more on the power play. If McBain is sent back to Manchester, Ebert maybe sent to Ontario. Although that has a lot to do with Voynov situation. So it may be awhile. Ebert is really just a victim of an over crowded defensive group (Leslie too). It was already crowded as it was. But the unexpected additions of Raine and McBain have made it even more crowded.

Yes and yes.

He has been struggling with his d-zone coverages and play away from the puck. That being said you are spot on. Defense from the CHL to the AHL is not a particularly easy thing to pick up. The speed and skill ramps up about 2000% for some of these kids. He'll come along.

And heck if he doesn't we can turn him into a winger and trade him to Buffalo for a legit Dman ;)

All the update you need on Schultz is that he was minus 4 in last nights game.

Ebert has been scratched several games. It's more overcrowded with Bodnarchuck return. Was first crowded when McBain played 5 games or so. Switches with Raine and Gravel in lineup. All three, when they play D, play with Forbort. Raine and Gravel have both dressed in same games, and have switched between 4th line wing and D. Thus, a box score might read like they're playing 7 d, when in fact they're not. Have not seen Ebert used at wing. Ebert is adjusting. Can't just take off like he probably did in the Chl. D coverages seem new to him as well. I would not say he's played bad though. Just adjusting to the differences.

Small sample size much?
Yes! Do you want to include 5 years ago when he played for the Caps!! What happens to him relates to his progression and where he is now. Ok I agree one night isn't fair, but neither was his 6 game stint in the playoffs.

Schultz is as steady as you get.

The guy is a veteran, just about every Defender in the NHL/AHL has had games where they end up on the minus column.

Drew Doughty included.

Jeff Schultz for his career is a plus player...
