Debrincat's QO will be over 9m next year. At the end of the day, while I think Debrincat is a slightly better player than Fiala, I think Fiala is a better fit for LA and has a a better cap situation than Debrincat.
Fiala brings an edge that only Durzi and Lemiuex have shown last year. He is a grinder that plays hard in front of the net. That's something we didn't have last year on the PP (unless you count whatever Brown was doing). And Debrincat probably needs a great facilitator (Like Stutzle or Kane) that LA does not have. Overall, Ottawa got a guy that works well for them, and LA go a guy who fits their system.
Other than that, Ottawa gets an A from me on that trade.
