bloody 'ell. :D

hope you get back to "normal" soon. (yes, I use that term loosely.) ;)

Thanks. I'm going to try sticking with the earlier (but no AS early) schedule for a time. I can get some things done around the house and get some work done uninterrupted before the kids come down for breakfast. It sets up the day nicely for me.

What's weird is having MLK off for the first time in six or seven years. I was all set to work and found out last night we were off. Watching free Center Ice, did the dishes (easiest way to stay in the wife's good graces :biglaugh: ), made some parm crisps for when I have a yen for something in a crunch/salty snack, and worked out. It's been a good day.

Happy MLK Day. What saddens me is how many people have not seen the full speech...one of the great orations of the 20th century.

I am the only person at work today. This building is creepy when empty.

I'm on call for hospitals from 4pm today until 8am tomorrow morning. I really, really hope I do not get any middle of the night pages tonight or tomorrow will be hell.

Talked to my boss this morning. Told him I had an interview last week. (He's also a close friend, otherwise I wouldn't have said a word.)

He's not surprised. Hopes I get the job for me, but also hopes I don't so I don't leave here. He's just as frustrated about things here as I am; Today was his first day back after a week off for a cruise, and he didn't want to come in at all, just because of the BS he knew would be waiting.

If I go and he starts looking.... this place would be done.

holy.

8am is sleeping in for me.

I've tried for years to get up at a decent hour, but I struggle to actually sleep before midnight-1am. Even when I'm exhausted, I find myself awake. I get a nice energy burst right when I need to sleep. When I worked outside of the home, mornings were miserable times for me, I'd feel half asleep until the afternoon, LOL.

I'm really struggling mornings now though.

Ya know that soft spongy part of your mouth where cheek upper and lower jaw all meet up? I just put a piece of beef jerky through it and I'm bleeding everywhere.

Did anyone else catch the premier of "The Following" on Fox last night?

Just watched it off my DVR and it was pretty interesting. Will certainly give it a few more shows to see where it goes from the first episode.

We are in bed by 10pm. That's just shy of 8 hours, sir.

**insert joke about older people here**

There's a big difference between being in bed and sleeping. There's many a night I go to bed and don't get to sleep for hours. There may be something engrossing on television, or I end up engaged in stimulating conversation.
