Wings have been among the worst possession teams in the league so far. Don't necessarily care about a win but would be encouraging to see the guys who matter have some success controlling play in this one.

You gotta think Kane was expecting this DET team to be more competitive than they've been since he made the decision to become a Wing. I wonder if he's regretting picking them over some of the more legit contenders out there, or if he's even thinking about eventually returning to CHI to retire. Either way it just doesn't seem right for him to be spending the little time he has left in his career playing for such a middling/average team. Hopefully he winds up back home with the Hawks or traded to a true Cup contender ASAP.

Besides if he is here he wiuld want to be assured of Pp time and top six time ....IF he makes Pp too good then Maybe Hawks win too many such that instead of a 4-10 finish it finishes in that might 15 -20 range.. That lessens our chance to blockbuster a deal to give a better 2015 first in a deal with other pucks/prospects to move up to#1 to land Martine.

Short term gain(you may eve question that vs. Long term pain (in not having enough good ammunition to entice a move up for the solution we will need long term.

Besides if Bedardxand Kane on a line 5x5 I guarded defensive woes and wonder who defers to who...then you get too much over passing insteD of finishing.
Too many bad consequences ...so stay clear.


I would accept a fibal 1 day sign and retire immediately as a Bkackhawk "diignity" off into the sunset honoring of Kane by the Blackhawks..but NOT as the cone home vet top six for a season or more player ..
