As a King’s fan looking in for the last few years, I have been salavating at some of the players on your team. I remember doing the same thing about seven or eight years ago. Always so much talent coming up in Buffalo, but just does not seem to gel or is missing a few key pieces.

A lot in the past have been traded away or have left the team and flourished in other places, which is a double kick in the nuts to any fan. Recently in the last few years we have seen this to some extent in Los Angeles by trading Vilardi and Faber.

Right now, LA is in a win now mode even if a lot of the phone base does not want to waste any more assets and picks.

We have the old guard in Kopitar (who is still amazing), Doughty (injured all year), Lewis (glue guy ) and Kuemper ( solid).

Then we have a middle age tier with Danault, Fiala, Moore, Gavrikov, Kempe, Edmundson etc.

Then we have what once was the number one prospect pool in hockey that has turned into

Byfield, Turcotte, Clarke, Anderson, Laferriere and Spence.

We have a coach and stuff that will play the veterans no matter how many mistakes they make, and come down on rookies that can make a single mistake and see the end of the bench, even if they’re on a hot streak.

Looking at the two rosters Buffalo has more skill than LA, but LA has more glue guys and a defense first philosophy that is buying us some wins.

LA needs a right shot scorer that can help their power play, yet play in a system that messes with everyone else on the team.

We have a pure talent guy like Fiala that should be thriving, but does not fit our system.

We also have way too many defensemen on this roster and with Doughty returning in the next month, it even makes that worse.

There are numerous players on your team that I would cover for the kings but the ones that really seemed to fit for this moment are Tuch and Cozens.

Now looking at our youth, that is NHL ready The only ones that might possibly be traded would be our right shot defenseman Spence (puck mover) as well as Akil Thomas who are coach refuses to play over old guys like Lewis to our fan base annoyance.

We have some middle tear guys that are signed for a bit that have talent like Fiala and Moore.

We also have our first round pick, not sure if it’s available because the draft is in LA this year.

We would have to trade somebody with salary like Moore or Fiala in order to land a guy like Cozens or Tuch.

Would there be any interest in any of the LA players in the above couple paragraphs and/or picks and/or prospects for one of those guys?

At this point, we really only have three outstanding prospects, ones a power forward, and the other two are goalies, which I think you guys have a stable of.

If anyone thinks that Adams is doing something major at the deadline.....I don't know what to tell you. It isn't happening.

I'd be shocked if Adams does anything major before he eventually gets fired (and I say this thinking Adams still has a LOT of rope with Pegula).
If he gets fired I'm sure his replacement will be just as clueless and unqualified. It's hopeless

I don't really see it as a good fit. Buffalo shouldn't be trying to get younger, and Buffalo has a bunch of puck moving D.

Buffaloes left shot defensive core is ridiculous.

Looking at your roster once again, maybe the best thing to do would be to stand pot, trade, Zucker and the free agents and go after veterans Lake Larkin, or glue guys in the off-season

You guys have wicked goaltending, a pretty nice defensive core, and are maybe one piece away from looking strong up the middle. That is a ridiculous good start for a team that contends on a yearly basis. You guys might be farther ahead than where we are as King’s fans even if the standing say different.

Danault is probably the only one interesting (other than mid-vet Gavrikov), but the salary is too much for this cheapass owner, unless he could be acquired for “future considerations”.

That’s not a knock on Danault. Just on our shitty cheap owner.

Danault + Spence are interesting, but not for Tuch. Maybe something around Cozens.
