You guys know that if Carolina decides to cut bait and trade Rantanen because they can't sign him - which according to Fat Frank "they might even get more than they gave up" :laugh::laugh::laugh: (lol what a f***ing moron) - you just know 100% that he's going to be going to the golden turds. Of that, I have zero doubts.

I can't believe the unbelievable miss-management by the dumbass canes IF that were to happen though. You cannot give up what they gave up without some sort of idea that you're going to give him what he wants and re-sign him.

I believe Rantanen will pick it up here shortly, scoring wise. He has two points in six games, but also has 20+ SOG in those six games. So he’s active. He’s not doing a Mittelstadt here.

He’s a damn good player. It’ll show soon.

He will eventually pick it up. We know that Rantanen has bee looking more lazy during the last two years, and the stats back it up that he has been relying on MacKinnon (during the last two years). But the skill is there. And if it doesn't happen with Carolina, it will happen with some team.

He needs to regain just some of that 2020-2022 form, where he was actually the driving force of that line.

I think it's actually pretty ridiculous to even suggest that Carolina will consider trading him before the deadline.

To say they might flip him for more now? That's one of the dumbest things I've ever read in my life.

He's playing about the same as he was here when he was traded. Pucks not going in though.

I'd be curious to know his for and against high danger chances here vs there though. I don't think he's getting as good of looks, but the volume may be up.

I wonder how much Vegas, Dallas or Edmonton would pay for one playoffs of Ranatanen @ $2.25 million?.......:help:
 
On a serious note how does Bouchard have such insane numbers the past three seasons? By fancy stats he's one of the best dmen in the league. Not Hughes level but a clear tier above Makar (fancy stat wise).

But it looks like the only way he could be worse defensively is if he actively shovelled pucks into his own net.

Am I missing something with this guy every time the Avs play the Oilers?

The late great Brett Hull said he would close his eyes before shooting. So if he didn't know where he was shooting there was no way the goalie would know either.

That's my approach to posting. If I don't know what I'm saying there's no way any of you will be able to know either.
