Does this mean Greene is close to returning?

No closer than he was before they made the trade. Regehr to the Kings, Martinez or Ellerby to the press box, Drewiske to Montreal.

Once again, Dean Lombardi proves he is a good man. Giving DD44 the chance to play in the NHL (as he did earlier in the year with Clune) is a good thing. Drewiske can play as a 5 or 6 in the NHL and hopefully he gets that chance with Les Habs. :handclap:

wow, it finally happened. good for DD44. i hope he cracks their line up and gets more ice time. dude was a TEAM player throughout his tenure in LA. i wish him luck in MTL

Happy for DD44. The guy is a professional and humble guy, never complained or said a word about how he wasn't getting playing time. Hopefully he does well in Montreal.

I hope he gets more playinf time in Montreal...I think he deserves it. A real professional...good luck Drewiske :)

Good luck 44! What a class act!

All the above plus very nice guy. On two of the Kings cruises I had a room near his so I saw a lot of him. Very nice person and his wife/girlfriend was as well.
He was the perfect 7 th Dman for the Kings.

Concur with all of this. Consumate pro. Best of luck to him. :handclap:

Thats easy, the obama-whiskey version.

now the bigger and more important question

still in play, or does it need replacement in the PGT's?

Yea man I made an Obama version after the White House visit. It was clear that Obama has taken over the #44

But in all seriousness, Good luck to Whiskey in Montreal, hope he plays more there.

He was a class act and did everything the Kings asked of him. I'm glad he got a Cup out of his dedication to the team.

Sadly, that means no LA Kings players are wearing #44. I guess it will mean getting an Obama #44 jersey.

Montreal currently doesn't have a reliable #6 D for the PO's. Have been rotating AHL propsect call-ups the last 10 games or so. They are also missing size on D, especially when it comes to the PK. Sounds like this is a good fit.

Is he UFA at the end of the season?

So ends an era. Not many players would work as hard and sacrifice as much as he did for us. Wish him the best of luck.

Funny how he gets traded from the defending Stanley Cup champs and everyone is elated for him, myself included.

We now have 10 picks in the draft this year. Safe to assume we will be trading a bit of those, either for depth, in primary deals, or most likely to move up at various points in the upcoming draft.

Cheers to Drewiske. As I posted in the Trade board thread, I'm also going to miss his ability to get plastered at least once a game after putting himself in a dumb position after a breakout pass...then pop back up and adjust his jaw.

I'm going to create another twitter. Follow me at @Bull****KingsRumors.

First tweet. I hear Kopi and Carter are being traded to the beer league for Ran_y Jones.
