Happy for DD44. The guy is a professional and humble guy, never complained or said a word about how he wasn't getting playing time. Hopefully he does well in Montreal.

How many picks does that give us in the 2013 draft? 10?

This opens up a roster spot. With Penner on IR, another move coming?

now the bigger and more important question

still in play, or does it need replacement in the PGT's?

a good 5-6 Dman, that can play in the 3-4 slot in a pinch. as dingo points out he does many things well, but nothing spectacular. expect 100% effort and commitment, but no flashes of brilliance. solid team player and will do what is asked of him. plays the 'stay at home' D style, but has enough wheels to break out in emergencies. plays more position and angles. isn't overly physical, but can and will when the situation calls for it.

All the above plus very nice guy. On two of the Kings cruises I had a room near his so I saw a lot of him. Very nice person and his wife/girlfriend was as well.
He was the perfect 7 th Dman for the Kings.

Does this mean Greene is close to returning?

a month out. around end of season, start of PO's. he skated for the first time the other day. right now they play as if he isn't coming back. when and if he does it is a bonus. can't focus on what you don't or can't control, only on what you can control.
