Tons of respect for Savard, dude was a warrior for us and loved being a Hab.

Aside from the washed up ones, Quebec born players rarely wanted to sign and play here. Savard had plenty of suitors but chose to come here and signed a very fair deal to do so, glad he got to finish his career with the team.

I don't think anyone here has said anything bad about David Savard the person, but as a player... he did not have his best year. Fans on the Internet will always exaggerate both the highs and the lows.

Honestly our modern Hal Gill. Most people were hyped for the signing, loved him the first year, turned on him when his game fell off, and were happy to see him retire and go back to saying good things about him.
