I'll just get this outta the way. Is there ANYBODY ELSE out there that thinks Savard is better than Wisniewski right now?

Wiz is a 3rd pairing PP specialist and Savard is a 2nd pairing guy who can play all situations.

I actually agree with your second sentence that this is how they should be used, but that doesn't necessarily imply the first sentence. Having a guy who can pile up points on the PP and can step up the offence when you're down a pair is pretty valuable.

What do you think the reasons are that they haven't been used that way?

I understand that, I really do. The issue is "how valuable'? My problem is that I think people are overvaluing points(especially PP points) while admitting and undervaluing Wiz's defensive faults and how much they negatively affect the team. The defensive makeup of our team is always convieniently left out when it comes to Wiz talks.

Again I understand I'm the minority, but Its not going to get me to change my opinion that Savard, Murray, JJ and even Nikitin are not much(if any) worse offensively than Wiz.
