I think Reinbacher can become a 30-40 point 2way dman.

We are drafting by need. Slaf last year because we wanted moar size, and now we see that Barron and Mailloux cannot both be in the top 4 due to their defensive game.

I think 30-40 pts for Reinbacher is if he just doesn't develop anything at all going forward. He'll get that off his icetime and transition alone.

I see him more as a 50-60 pt defenceman.

We already have 2 great Defensive prospect with Mailloux and Hutson. Why add another one. We needed offensive talent. We are never going to have a 90pts player....

And it would be a tragedy if we had 2 players on pace for that? We’re the offensively challenged Habs and should be grateful even 1 potential forward star has come our way in decades?

or they got a stud D. LOL,

This board is beyond predictable.

The last time Montreal picked 5th they picked Price and I wanted Brule. I was easily proven wrong with that pick. Hope that the same happens with this pick as I did want Michkov. Reinbacher can become a cornerstone on the backend if he develops properly. Welcome David and all the best to him in Montreal.

Well we are weak at right defense and he was the highest ranked right hand shot defenseman in the draft. I kind of figured that he would be our pick if all the centers were gone. I had hoped that Hughes would trade back and acquire more assets AND take him though.

Perhaps lost in all of the shock and disappointment is that Reinbacher is the guy who ratted out the Habs management for asking him the World War Two questions and still got picked by them haha!

Was pretty disappointed when we picked but hes already growing on me.

He improves our D big time. I just hope to GOD he turns into a 1RD. If he can develop into one I'll be very, very pleased with this selection.

I kind of figured they would take him. I am disappointed they couldn’t work out a trade to move back and get assets along with him. I have a feeling coyotes had some conversations with both Montreal and Philly that cock blocked us

I will be honest, Reinbacher is a player that I did not follow at all during the season.

I really hope he attains his ceiling.

I'm not pissed but everyone knows I called this months ago. It was so obvious.

I just don't know how you don't trade down. Very happy with the prospect though.

Because Arizona was taking reinbacher.

Everyone has Arizona taking him and now the superstar walks up to the Philly floor wondering what happened.
