Facts are not memes, what i provided you is data and comparables. Show me where im wrong and where you agree. Lets have a debate.

Convince me why its better for the habs to keep Reinbacher

Because he's a very good prospect, that plays a premium position, with qualities that are very difficult to find. Nothing has changed from when we drafted him to now, other than he got hurt in the pre-season.

The notion that we should trade a developing top 5 pick for another pick, especially considering the quality of the prospect and where we are in the rebuild, is incredibly misguided and just a terrible evaluation of the player himself.

Best NLA draft year season ever, at a time when the league is as good as it's ever been.. and a seamless transition into being Laval's best defense at the end of his D+1.

Look at the best defenders we got the last quarter.

The best ones were selected above round 2. Is it a coincidence? Is it because we dont know how to develop them? Is it because the pressure for a top D in the NHL playing for the Canadiens is too high for those guys?

Subban, 2nd round
Hutson, 2nd round
Markov, 6th round

The first rounders we picked that we dint trade, that no longer play for us or are retired:

Komisarek, ok
Tinordi, Nothing burger
Beaulieu, Nothing burger

The guys playing now:
Logan Mailloux, Decent pick and questionable
Kaiden Guhle, Good pick

The guys that never played for us or got traded:
Mikhail Sergachev, Great Pick
David Fischer, Europe
Ryan McDonagh, Great career
Hainsey
Juulsen, Nothing burger

Plus Carey Price cursed him by screwing up his name.
Fans wanted Michkov, Double Curse
Fans attacked him violently on social media, Triple curse

This is no jokes... this guy is condemned to play at a very high level in montreal and thats alot of pressure and very negative one to go through.

The organisation made a booboo, are they going to bite the bullet and accept defeat or will their ego Trump over?

Lets just trade him for a pick and be done with this patates chaude because he's not going to be that guy here.
This is brutal lol.

The only top 15 picks in there are Komisarek, McDonagh and Sergachev. You can also add Guhle who was 16th.

If anything your post seems to indicate that we should be drafting Dmen with our top picks more often and not the opposite .....

Care to bring factual data and statistics in the discussion? How many times have you watched him play?
The guy barely stepped foot on NA ice, and you're clamoring to give up on him... Irrational hatred.

I never said he's a bad prospect.

But guys were traded for much less drama and it goes without saying that the injury is only going to make things more difficult for him going forward

Not because of him personally but because of the potential drama

What drama?

Reinbacher should not be traded because a bunch of internet nerds got mad they didn't pick a guy who can't even outscore an undersized defenseman in his rookie year.

How does any of that actually make sense in your head?

It's clearly the case that it's usually easier to project 18 year old forwards than 18 year old defensemen.

Nevertheless, it's still often the best choice to draft a defenseman with a top-10 pick.

Its very simple, i looked at what happend with Subban, i looked at what happend with Malakhov, Brisebois, Roy, Camellari... etc

All situations were charged with a ton of Drama.

When there's an once of drama that is being detected the club always, always chooses to get rid of the player rather than deal with it properly. Except for Price, the only player that survived montreal's circus to date.

There is no factual or logical connection to be made between Reinbacher and Subban/Malahkov/Brisebois/Roy/Cammalleri, that group of players and their situation isn't homogeneous to begins with. You are building a bridge to nowhere using fictional drama as your base material.

The bridge is 3 km long and 1000 meters high, if you choose to look the other way to purposely avoid it its not my fault.

Everything will be fine if he ends up being a legit top pair or top 4 D for many years but the margin of error is thin and with the injury the chances he's going to get there are a bit less than what they were before the beginning of the season.

Im just doing a risk assessment of the situations just like the habs did in 2010 when they had to decide between Halak or Price. They said he's bigger so he'll have it easier even if Halak did better, they traded him.

SO im not saying Rein is a bad prospect, nor we should trade him, but taking everything in there's a case to be made for such scenario.

You don't say...

He is a legit prospect and he was selected at 5, so the expectations are high. But the margin of error isn't thinner than usual.

They are not trading Reinbacher because people on the internet were mad. Slafkovsky had a similar situation and an injury in his first year. They didn't trade him, either.

Some..............have no patience at all.
i wanted a forward that draft, but once we took Reinbacher, and I did some research, I moved on to being glad we have a top 4 dman in the fold.

This must be awarded the "Worst post of the year".

"Let's debate" but your reasoning and arguments are so subjective and based on speculations and basic level analogies. There is nothing factual to any you mentioned. I especially laughed most at the curse #1, #2 and #3.

Based on your logic, the Montreal Canadiens should always trade away the 3rd overall pick because:

2012: Alex Galchenyuk busted and went to the KHL after got caught in a coke rage
2018: Jesperi Kotkaniemi busted so hard and is a bottom 6 center

So yes, we should always trade away our #3 lottery pick because they usually end up busting. Nothing burgers.

How about we take a chill pill and give the young 19 years old a chance to prove what he can become in the NHL? Because our defense with Matheson and Savard will gladly welcome a player like him. Ivan Demidov will make all the haters forget about Michkov.

Anyways, weird post you had there.
