vets and so called leaders should be ashamed of themselves. if I was management I would demand to play with snarl even if you never had it in their game. at least show that you care

and to me that’s a coaching thing. DQ could’ve told them to go after them without directly saying to go after them, to show some snarl, to really lay the body. To me it’s not a personality thing, but an attitude and culture thing. And right now it’s a DQ thing.

Are rangers fan ever happy with the coach??

I like quinn, and agree that there should be enormous pressure next season on him. We need to make the playoffs no doubt about it but I swear most of you all are overreacting.

The guy gets blamed for every little thing, maybe if mika didn't have covid to start the year, we could have won another couple games. Same with panarin missing a few weeks. We play in a tough division and have literal kids on the team. Yall gotta lighten up a little bit
Dude I’ve tried to explain the difference between criticism and scapegoating almost every day of this shortened season; It’s a lost cause.

I've changed my mind. I'm so done with him. He's useless. Throw him back into college, he's not ready for this. How about - again- signing a European coach of which there are several great choices who put his players first and doesn't have an ego the size of a football field? If you think they cannot handle tough stuff, really nasty stuff happens in the playoffs in European leagues as well. They 100% stand behind their players.

And they can speak English? How about that? Quinn has to go. If they cannot find an alternative, just put a basketball with a cap on his seat and pay that basketball $600k a year. That would certainly help the situation of the team.

IF he throws an appropriate response tomorrow I can cut him some slack. But I know he will disappoint me. As he always has. Not in the Vigneault way, but in the Quinn way. It might even get its own term from all of this.

I mean, what kind of brainiac are you to tell the media "Panarin is fine" when he is out for the rest of the season? How about having even a scrum of strategical thinking when handling all of this before you even know the outcome? The correct response would've been: "Panarin is NOT fine. What did you think?" But no, we have a diplomat as a coach. A Winnie the Pooh. Just great.

It’s easy enough to say that the guy gets blamed “for every little thing”. What do you consider to be little things? What is a coach responsible/deserving of criticism for?

The success of the team is ultimately what he is judged on. That said, there were improvements made but I do not think he will be fired unless we get off to a horrible start next year.
The expectations weren't to win a cup this year but I'm guessing they were to make the playoffs. He may be on thin ice, but I'd be shocked if they let him go anytime soon.

If Gorton and Davidson got booted for underperformance, I'm betting Quinn is gone too, as soon as the end of the season interviews and meetings are done.

I don’t care who the coach is, firing the GM and president for “underachieving” while keeping the coach would be insane.

Having said that, if Drury remains GM, I fully expect exactly that to happen.

Quinn got the job partially through Drury's recommendation. Boston connection. I wouldn't be surprised to see him keep it. When they get off to another slow start he will get canned

Drury is from Connecticut, Gorton was the Boston guy.
