David Perron (D) 2 years / 4M AAV

Perron is playing well, but I will temper my expectations for him. He's not as good as his recent hot streak, just as he's not as bad as he was earlier on given his transition back to the ice. Hoping we aren't caught in the middle of some shite reffing as the season/post-season starts because he'll be an easy target for ref's doing game management.

He’s on a streak for sure

What I really like is he, bath and Cozens are playing hard to play against, heavy hockey

Tkachuk Stuetzle zetterlund
Perron Cozens Batherson
Greig Pinto Giroux

That's as good as we've look since the 2000s imo. There's just no break there. Roll 3 lines. All can dominate
And with Amadio waiting in the wings that really belongs in a top 9 the way he's playing.

Liking his game right now and with Cozens/Zetterlund the team speed is much improved so you can sprinkle in slower players like Tkachuck/Perron/Giroux and take advantage of ther skillset while letting other guys do more of the running around.

Staois has done a great job balancing out the lines.

The important point is not the streak. It's that he is playing the way he should.

Hard on the puck, great in the corners, tenacious forechecker and good scoring ability in tight. 40-50 point guy.

If he can play like that for the next 16 months, he will be worth the contract.

With his poor start being attributable to personal issues and injury, I'm willing to believe he can still do it.

I think he’s done an AMAZING job

Especially considering he’s not finished. It’s just stage 1 of the process really.

DP57 has been a perfect fit in his role as veteran leader recently.
