Go take a look at who the last two 1st overall picks then compare to pasta.Pastrnak is worth more than 1st overall
Mcavoy worth more than Power
Swayman even after this season is worth more than your goalie tandem
Awful.
Yes?Go take a look at who the last two 1st overall picks then compare to pasta.

Which one...
Bedard hasn't hit 25 goals yet and struggles to break 60 while being a malcontent and is going to look for more than Pasta's AAV.
Celebrini is a rookie but 55 pts isn't setting the world on fire.
Maybe you meant Lafreniere? or Slakovsky? or Dahlin?
The only #1 overall pick since McDavid you can argue is better than Pastrnak is 1.5 seasons of Matthews.
Jack Hughes is the only one in that time frame I'd consider moving Pastrnak for and the only one to consistently match his PPG
The only thing holding you back then is 4-5 1st rounders. They don't have any 1sts until 2027, so what... '27 - '31 first rounders? By that point you never know, they may be back to 3 first overalls in a row. Yeah, I know the rules don't allow for that, but the way shit runs off a Katz's back...Oilers made a push for Rantanen and apparently were willing to go higher on an extension than he signed for.
I'd easily be good at 4-5 1st rounders valuation for Pasta. Finally give Draisaitl an elite winger. McDavid would see oppositions 2nd pair D-match up as no way teams wouldn't line match a Draisaitl - Pastrnak line.
lol your username says it all. Pasternak will get a Taylor hall like return if he’s ever moved because again and again people don’t get the concept of wingers being worth substantially less then C and DWhich one...

Bold part I agree, and I was responding to one assessment which I think was not totally right. If I am correct - Wayne was traded in 1988. Edmonton in my souvenir won the SC with Messier and w/o 99 in 1990. Might be mistaken. So IMO Oilers did not do that bad following the trade. You think the Oilers did well in that trade? They continued to be successful in spite of it.

The same ammount as the 1st overall pick has been moved. How often has a top 3 winger been traded since 2000?
Not a chance Kings even consider this for a second. Kings aren’t gutting their future for one player who doesn’t play Kings style of hockey, didn’t work with Kovalchuk, won’t work with Pasta. Bruins are the best team for Pasta. The team I can see Pasta trading to and getting a good package would be LA
Brandt
Byfield
Greentree
Laferriere
for
Pastrnak
Boston gives up a top 10 superstar in the league in his prime but gets depth with good young players with potential. Fair on both sides.

I legit love Kovalchuk, but he was on his last leg in LA at 35, far from the sniper he was earlier on in his career. Pasta at the prime age of 28 is definitely worth that package. Theres probably 10 players in the league that you overpay to obtain, and Pasta is hands down one of them.
Yea not the kings though. They are trading away their future for maybe 1 run? Kopitar will be 38 next season and Doughty 36.
Would make no sense for LA.
