Value of: David Pastrnak

No disrespect to Kucherov, look again and do math. If Pastrnak was on Kuch spot he would´ve had at least 120 points and fight MacKinnon for n1 in scoring.View attachment 1008112View attachment 1008113

this is the third year in a row he's been the entire offense to this degree. This will also be his 3rd straight year leading the team in goals, assists and points

2023:

Pasta: 61 goals, 113 points
2nd: 27 goals, 67 points

2024:

Pasta: 47 goals, 110 points
2nd: 29 goals, 67 points

2025:

Pasta: 40 goals, 97 points
2nd: 29 goals, 51 points

Including the record setting regular season, Pastrnak is the only Bruin to have more than 30 goals or 70 points in a season since 2022-23

The team I can see Pasta trading to and getting a good package would be LA

Brandt
Byfield
Greentree
Laferriere

for

Pastrnak

Boston gives up a top 10 superstar in the league in his prime but gets depth with good young players with potential. Fair on both sides.

Let me preface my post by saying that I think there’s no way they’re trading him.

That said, I would have to think hard if Seattle offered Wright or Beniers, something else, and their first pick this year. Probably unrealistic, but so is trading Pasta.

Pasta is good yes, but Kucherov is still on another level.

He had a 54 point gap on the next highest scoring teammate last season.

almost entirely due to the teammate gap.

Pastrnak has 30 more ES goals and they have identical ES Points (226 v 225). The point difference is purely on the powerplay where Kucherov has the luxury of Point and Hedman.

He probably returns at least 2 x 1st and your team best prospect. The fact he can choose where he wants to play will lower that tho.

The 2 1sts are likely not top 10.

More likely

Playoff teans 1st (top 5 or 10 protected)
Player with salary or player due for salary raise
Depending on what those to are. An additional pick snd/or prospect/ young player

No winger not even a reincarnation of Gordie Howe is worth 2 1st overall picks and 2 high upside goalies.

1st overall=Pasta
Power=McAvoy
UPL and Levi=Swayman

Who in the hell would want 2 goalies in the same deal? Neither one of them have much value so it's not like you can flip one for a massive return, and you want Bostons 3 best players without even giving up Thompson or Dahlin? What an idiotic proposal.

I like to have both players, but no freaking way do they get you Pasta.

Hey, no harm in saying what you are thinking, and what everyone else is also. :D :D🇺🇸

In my eyes besides Ovy a superstar Winger like Kucherov=borderline 1C. I’ll take Larkin over Kucherov if I’m game 7 Stanley cup finals

Not sure if Boston is a worse team with Thompson in and pasta out especially if they get breakout year Thompson.

Edit- I’ll take Larkin over Pasta not Kuch
Pasta has 87 points in 90 playoff games, and has made it to game 7 of the finals.

Larkin has 1 point in 5 playoff games. He can't even get his team to the playoffs and you would take him instead? 🤣

Yeah, I too would take the guy who has led his team to 1 playoff appearance in 10 seasons in a game over the guy who *checks notes* has back to back Cup wins while leading the league in playoff scoring and 167 points in 147 career playoff games.

Or the guy who produces 15 more goals and 40 more points per season than Larkin.

But to be fair to you, leading a 98 year old franchise to their longest playoff drought and consecutive years under .500 streak is leadership you cant put a price tag on...

If the Sabres win NHL draft lottery-

Owen Power
UPL
Levi
1st overall

For

McAvoy
Swayman
Pasta
Never in the history of NHL was there a team that traded 2 elite players in their prime in McAvoy and Pasta, with the 3rd player being a good goalie for futures in one trade. Even if they were going to trade all 3, Boston would trade them in separate deals to maximize their value. Boston does not exist to rebuild the Sabres franchise in one trade. People need to stop with these unrealistic trade proposals which has never been done in NHL history. You can fantasize about it but please don't even post these ideas here.

I wouldn't trade Pastrnak straight up for that
I agree, the delusions of some fans. Also since when did elite NHL players in their prime become worth less than spare parts? Pasternak proposal was one example and the other is Hughes. GMs aren't going to give these players up for a bag of pucks.

I had Boston pegged as one of the teams to take the wrong lessons from Washington's success.

They're going to drag out a failed re-tool and end up where Pittsburgh is now with Pastrnak going for much less than they could get now.

Bergeron and Krejci were older than Pasta the last time the Bruins missed the playoffs... and the Bruins choosing to retool netted them a Cup Final and two Presidents Trophies. Obviously, things might go belly up this time trying to retool. But, it might not. And the worst case scenario is that they have to go scorched earth anyway.

Thompson= Power/1st overall

Dahlin is worth abit more

It’s really cool to see the founder of HF boards to reply to my comment. I apologize if my post was not what you envisioned when you built this website.

Ok 😅 Thompson and Pastrnak is worth more than that, but I'll play along. So let's say Pastrnak is equal to the Thompson value so you think you're getting McAvoy and Swayman for two unproven goalies?? Go back to the drawing board.
