David Pastrnak shares the heartbreaking loss of his son

I cannot even begin to imagine what this feels like for the Pasta family.

I have a wonderful 4 year old boy so these types of stories hit me much harder than they would have 5 years ago...

Prayers to everybody involved and R.I.P to little Pasta.
I know the feeling. I got a 4 years old daugther, and when I see such stories, they hit right in the feels.

Sending positive energy to the Pasta family.

Man what a devastating loss. Heart goes out to Pasta and family.
Has had to deal with far too much grief

Heartbreaking - any parent's worst nightmare.

Something no one really tells you or prepares you for is that while being a parent gives you the opportunity to love something more than you could ever imagine, it also opens you up to a deeper pain than imaginable.

Thinking of Pasta and his family.

Tragic, and it really sucks that as a public person he has to go public with something like this.

Wish him and his family all the best and godspeed in recovering. Hopefully anybody who isnt respectful of their privacy takes a long walk off a short bridge.

Devastating news. I hope he and his family can heal from this terrible loss.

Life can be many things, but let's remind ourselves how precious it is and try not to take it for granted.

I remember when my son was born by c section my wife was kept in a special ward - and to get there I always had to pass by the newborn ICU.

They had windows so fathers and loved ones could look in and it was anguishing to see these precious newborn babies hooked up to all these scary ass machines - and the fathers sitting with their heads in their hands each time I passed through.

I don’t think I ever passed through there without a tear in my eye and a lifelong appreciation for my children’s health.

David and Rebecca:
You will come out of this when the time is right with a sharpened resolve and understanding only a few of us can relate. Until then, process. Remember the sounds of baby Viggo. Remember his touch. Remember his feelings. Remember his love. Remember his innocence. Just always remember…

Damn it this is hard

Oh man that’s the worst thing anyone could ever go through. Can’t even imagine. Feel so bad for Pasta and his wife.

Ive got 3 kids and I never take having them healthy and being able to watch them grow for granted

Damn I’m watering up

I plan on being a father in the next year or two. I can't imagine going through something like this.

As others have mentioned. After hearing this incredibly sad news. I'm definitely going to give my lil one an extra hug or two today.

There are dirt bag degenerates out there who smoke and drink every single day and live to 80+.... then you see little babies die for the most random thing.

Sad world. Rip.

Feel you on this with a nearly 4 year old at home and a baby due in a few weeks. These stories are so sad (despite seeing this way too often at work).

Thoughts and prayers to the family, I cannot imagine the absolute devastation you feel.
