David Pastrnak hits 100 points for the third season in a row

As others have mentioned before, putting up 100pts with this dogshit roster is insane. Random thought, but even though Matthews has elite 2 way play, the more valuable position and multiple 60 goalscoring seasons under his belt, I still feel like him and Pasta are neck and neck for some reason

Last goal the Bruins scored Pastrnak didn't factor on took place on March 23d. He's now on 15 goals in a row, equalling Jagr's record that stood for 26 years.
That streak is over... I think you have overlooked the NJ game where Pasta factored "only" in 3 goals out of 7. I get your point, though. He created 13 straight goals and in yesterday's game, both goals were his again. Crazy crazy stat.

Getting to 100+ points on a team with 29th ranked PP and 27th ranked xG for at 5v5 is a huge testament to his talent. He's doing this with Pavel Zacha and Morgan Geekie as his linemates, who are like 20-40 point players at best away from him.

Yeah, thanks for correcting me. I would be adding to it forever

Pastrnak has been a great player for a long time now. In fact, he's a bit past his best play, but he's still really good. Great hockey sense, and an excellent goal scorer.

to take it a step further, he leads the league in 5v5 points on a team ranked 27th in 5v5 xG

What’s kinda crazy is he’s suddenly got better with the previous lackadaisical defensive side of his game. It would be interesting to see the turnover stats pre and post January 1st.

Bergeron and Marchand were 50-60 point player without Pastrnak, Krejci was arguably better than both

Bergeron and Marchand were used in an almost exclusively defensive role before Cassidy took over. They also saw little (Bergeron) to no (Marchand) PP time. Matter of fact, the season before his bad concussion, Bergeron was a .9+ point per game player. Claude switched him to shutdown center afterwards because he promised his mom he would ease him back into the game.

Krejci never scored .9 PPG for a season in his entire career.

This season may/could be heavily underrated a couple years from now.

Possibly a 140pt player with any competent linemates

Still clears easily as the 2nd best winger in the league after Kucherov for me. KK just misses too many games and Rantanen too inconsistent.

What he did this season on that Boston roster is definitely highly underrated, even with this thread.

I know he's had a few injuries but I dont think Kasperi Kapanen is really in the convo either way
