David Pastrnak hits 100 points for the third season in a row

It’s because McDavid, Kucherov, MacKinnon, Draisaitl, and Matthews are definitively better, and that’s before we crack into any defensemen and goalies.

He’s an awesome player, maybe even heads the list of best forwards after those five with his consistency factored in at this point, but never being in the top 5 is not because he’s underrated— it’s because there are a clear handful of players he’s objectively behind.

I’d love to see Pasta’s numbers with the offensive talent they get around them.

McDavid is untouchable

Matthews is the better goal scorer but has never matched Pastrnak's overall production.

Kucherov yes, but let's give Pastrnak a center as good as Point. Pastrnak has more ES points, by a good margin

MacKinnon, he and Pastrnak are even in ES scoring. Lets give Pastrnak 3+ PP minutes a night with Cale Makar

Draisaitl, do I have to say it? Lets put Pastrnak next to McDavid

We’ve seen time and again in all sports that it’s not a straight shot to the results you’re thinking of. Can we stop pretending we’ve only seen Pasta on a bottom five team? They just set record in wins and points, while scoring over 300 goals two years ago. His points were very similar to what they will be this season.

Very, very possible he’ll be the Bruins all time top goal scorer and will almost certainly be top 3 in points. Should be the captain next year.

Just a gem of a human and player. Gotta give him a few more shots at a Cup.

He's only 156 off Bucyk's 545, so should run away with that one.

It's a long shot and will take a lot breaking his way but Bourque's 1,518 points isn't out of the question. He's at 827

He would have 20 or more additional points this season is my guess had he played on lines with more talent. As I said earlier, this is not the same player as of even two seasons ago. His passing and overall playmaking have taken a noticeable leap forward.

Anyone saying his production would be the same with a top tier center and winger on his line is out to lunch. Anyone seriously think Gretzky would have as many assists passing to bottom six players on his line? Absurd of course.

Pastrnak gets keyed on every game by the opponents because they know the Bruins don't have any other considerable scoring threats. Yet he still managed 100+ points this season. It would be awesome to see this version of Pastrnak with dynamic linemates and a great puck-moving D on the PP. In the past he was a softish one-trick pony with an elite shot. He's now much more than that.

Pasta's wife is from Sweden and her family is directly from Stockholm 😜 I think this increases the chances of him coming 🤪
I actually thought about that.lol I had it at zero chance. Now I actually think he's coming. Rulik is pretty black and white. I think he would've just said 'not coming'. Instead he said at the end of the season.

I could also just be a fanboy holding out hope.lol

Pasta has a gold and bronze in his last 2 World's. So let's get that Silver.lol

I disagree, he was top tier playmaker ever since he was playing in Sweden, his goalscoring touch came completely unexpected. That´s why was Vrana who was goalscoring monster drafted 13th and pasta 25th. If Vrana had something between his ears and didn´t ruin his career with drugs, he would be 50 goalscorer possibly as good as Pastrnak.

There was a time not too long ago when many thought he was getting pumped up by his linemates Bergeron and Marchand. Offensively speaking, he's just on another level.
Bergeron and Marchand were 50-60 point player without Pastrnak, Krejci was arguably better than both

His top two seasons in assists in the NHL have come the past two seasons, including this one. This season he would have a ton more assists if his linemates were more competent shooters. He has been making more creative passes during this time than I've seen him make since entering the NHL. Some of them Krejci-worthy. To your point, perhaps that ability has always been there to a high degree, but has blossomed even more this season because there has been such an offensive vacuum with the Bruins.
