No, I live in reality. Where I’m able to see that players on other teams are good, too. I’m a Senators fan and I can admit that Toronto has good players and although flawed, Marner is a talent you move anyone aside from Bedard to acquire.

As a Leaf fan, a trade I'd like would be Marner + Liljegren for Jones + Murphy 50% retained. It would be nice to get $2 million retention on Jones, but 6 years is too long for Chicago to want to retain, realistically. Max retaining on Murphy instead solves that problem. Would also be nice if Chicago added a pick, but not sure they'd agree to that.

But Vlasic is the best actual defender on the hawks, and it isn’t really that close.

He’s a horse, on a great contract and he’s 23.

All things equal sure, but his contract, age and positional value make it a no for me.

Part of the issue is I don’t think Marner fits chicagos timeline.
