Fantasy scenario is 46 comes back, gets 25/45/70, stays healthy and bruins win the cup.

He’d have legit shot to be in the rafters for sure.
Yeah, unfortunately it sounds like he had a nagging injury and didn’t see his family much during the season. I don’t see him coming back. Maybe a season with his old linemate changes his mind?

I’d be shocked if Krejci signed prior to the season let alone signing at all

Unless sweeney has a definitive deal/plan in place to clear more cap space

It’s way more likely Krejci signs mid season after a trade has been made or cap space has been banked

60% he retires
35% he signs mid season
5% he signs this summer

He's should go into the rafters.

One of my favorite Bruinsof all time and the most clutch playoff performer of them all.
I think he has another Cup if glass doesn't fall on him after OT winner; the hockey gods are cruel.

*or if Daugavins puts in that easy OT tap-in against Chicago (SCF)... or the Bruins actually elevate the puck in game 7 vs St. Louis etcetera

Krejci, in alternative universe with inches of puck differential (combined!) could have 4 Cups. Obviously "coulda's" mean nothing, but gor his career it was very realistic.

I’m no doctor but…

-“If You Don’t know me By Now”
Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff wrote this, the best “if” song ever in my view, and one of the best songs ever, period.

- If You're Going To San Francisco - Scott McKenzie

- If Not For You - George Harrison
Teddy P... you win.

I personally don’t think he’ll close the door and could see him coming back at/around the new year, but wouldn’t be surprised if he does retire. Either way, I’m glad we got him back for one more year, even though it wasn’t the result we wanted, and am so happy he’ll be a lifelong Bruin. Very quietly put together an amazing career.

Wishful thinking - I know.
but I kinda hope(d) he was waiting for the arbitration cases to be settled so The Bruins could see how they could construct a 1 year contract.
League minimum with $3M in bonuses.
If they can entice him to play one more year this team wins the division again.

I think he's retiring with no thoughts of coming back in the future. What DK did was give the respect to Patrice on his retirement. Gave his good friend a couple weeks to be the center spotlight on a HOF career. Now it's his turn. I honestly believe that he was pulled out of semi-retirement (I know he was playing in his home country) last year for one more run for the cup. He did give me fits at times early in his career for what appeared to be slow or uninspired play. What I came to realize is that was his way of playing the game and he was smooth and effective playing that way for his entire career. Certainly a Bruin great in my eyes and, if not for Tim Thomas, the MVP of the 2011 Stanley Cup champions.

Looks like he's leaving the door open per Dom:

This is the key statement Krejci made:

"With regard to the championship, it is logical that the extraleague or European leagues have a better chance of the World Championships than the NHL because of its playoffs," Krejčí said, adding that if he continues in his career, he probably will not start playing right from the beginning of the season.

Full article is here NHL | Další rána pro Boston! Krejčí má oznámit svůj konec v NHL, lákadlem je domácí MS - Sport.cz

Oddly enough, the interview was done the day before he came back for McAvoy's wedding and the same day that the "rumor" of his retirement came out.
