I get that he is young, but not all top 10 picks pan out. His development has stalled for a reason. I don't think he will return anything close to the packages some have posted here.
We will see, only takes 1 GM to think "we can fix him". If you can correct his skating and develop some lower body strength his game will take off

Go full circle

Elite skating Jamie Drysdale for poor skating David Jiricek

My pitch from a philly POV

Jiricek for sure has more value than Willander.

The trade would be, value wise, Willander and their 1st (late)

I'd put the chances of Willander being better than Jiricek at far from "huge". 80/20 to Jiricek
I’m assuming you mean Wallinder.
Because no one is trading Willander for Jiricek

Why do Wild fans want Rossi gone so bad? He’s a hell of a player. Only 23 and is on pace for 65 points. You guys would give him up for a right handed Dman who has high potential? You guys have Spurgeon and Faber already lol. I’m shocked.

But if it was Rossi, don’t you guys think Columbus would’ve completed the deal by now?
The majority absolutely don't want him gone. It would be absolutely stupid to move him. Unfortunately, I don't trust Guerin one bit to make the right decision.

Further more, I don't see how moving a top 2 center for a prospect is a great way to convince Kaprizov to stick around....especially when that center has developed some chemistry with Kap.

Just doesn't make sense.

That has to be one of the more funny sentences I’ve read in a while. Wild fans don’t want him gone. Guerin seems to be the guy who isn’t willing to commit to Rossi.

I would offer Ohgren+pick+RD prospect for Jiricek.

Is Guerin just a guy that loves size and is fearful to have Rossi longterm or is this just old news from the summer before Rossi started playing to this level?

It's probably a mix of both. Guerin does love size and strength, but not every player necessarily needs to have it. But he seems to have an idea of what he looks for out of guys he commits a lot of term and money to. It's not all size and strength, but there are definitely elements of "grit" to it. They need to be able to battle physically and come out on top.

Rossi has taken huge strides in this and every other aspect of his game, but he wasn't good at it when he first showed up, so it may take time and consistency to prove to Guerin that he can do it.

That’s fine. Wallstedt is a top 2 goalie prospect in the NHL and it’s arguably our worst position
By reputation only. There were question marks with Wallstedt at the draft which made teams stay away. AHL numbers say maybe those question marks were valid.

Yeah but he was great in the AHL last year so maybe there's something else going on other than "he sucks"

Yeh maybe. Or maybe he busts in the most bust likely position in the League.

I’m just saying, you can’t say a goalie has arrived until he’s arrived. He hasn’t arrived yet.

Maybe, or maybe playing behind one of the worst teams in the AHL with a bad HC is having a negative impact on the stats. Who's to say?

Can you help me find the post you're referring to here where someone said he's arrived? Link it for me?
