I was not a fan of him when he was hired but after they won the Cup in 2012, I'm firmly on the Sutter wagon. He is already a Kings legend and he hasn't even been here 3 years. His interactions with the media are hilarious.

Its like something out of a movie when Dean Lombardi showed up to Sutter's farm to convince him to come coach the Kings. Seems like the act of a desperate man but apparently he had his finger on the pulse of the team and knew exactly the right guy to handle them.

This might have been his best ever. It was right after game 5 in the San José series. It lasts a grand total of 53 seconds.

There was one during the Cup finals in 2012 when Vic the Brick asked him some (stupid) long winded leading question and Darryl's response was "no" and then turned his head in the other direction. That was absolutely hilarious.

Then in the Chicago series Game 2, somebody asked him what he said to the players in the 2nd intermission. His response was referencing that Netflix commercial where that coach gives that speech.. lol!

You can tell he doesn't like most of the non-hockey media. He always gives Jim Hill a hard time (which is funny) and most of the local TV stations' reporters. They always ask stupid questions.

The time he pretended to be a cameraman tops my list.

Not sure where to post this but I found an article on the Sharks board worth reading. Interesting piece. While Lombardi and Sutter look like geniuses now, they really went through some bad decisions and bumps along the way in order to develop the acumen they have today.

Sutter, Lombardi Haunt Sharks
