Very quietly having a nice little season for himself so far. Never talked about, but never a complaint either. If he could ever figure out how to cash in on 10% of his chances he would probably hit the 30 goal mark some day.

Bergeron for Hart
Kind of a misunderstood player (see that idiotic nickname) but the exact kind of guy you win with. Cut from the Bergeron character cloth of respectful, hard working, keep-mouth-shut and do what's best for the team fold.
He takes most of Axelsson's smarts and adds some speed and lot of toughness to that role. His willingness to play 4th line even though he is a third liner on many teams and his willingness to respectfully sit at length through coach's decisions show what a team guy he is. As much as I liked Axelsson, he refused any 4th line duty and it probably hurt the team on a couple of occasions when they were trying to groom someone.
First line speed, average bottom six hands (that's right), average shooting percentage and generally above average stats for his ES minutes.
A dirty area player every shift and every night--and they are far more rare than some may think.
Not a conventional 4th liner (and that's a good thing here) but one of the bravest guys on the team and in the league.
One of Chiarelli's best trades. A team-builder. A clear win.

Worth mentioning that Paille and Bergy have a bit of a bromance going on. On that NHL 36 special last year they sit together on trips and watch movies lol.
Love Paille. Has quite the talent considering he's able to hold the hockey stick with a pair of bricks.

And Dan did earn that cup ring. Who knew when the B's first got him what a good choice it was ?

Paille's niche is 4th/3rd line checking/energy player and PKer.
As long as he is asked to do these things, he shines and really looks great. I think when asked to do more (eg be a scoring winger) he looks bad.
You can fault Paille for his stone hands, but in every other facet of the game he gives 100%. Well he gives 100% to trying to score too, but doesn't always manage to score. He would be an amazing player with a scorer's touch though.
I remember before the cup run thinking Paille was a waste of space on the team, but when he started playing on the 4th line and turned into a 1 man PK machine, I found a real appreciation for his game. Up until the shift to the 4th line, I think Paille was being asked to perform in a role that didn't really use his strengths.

According to Naoko and the Bruins' twitter, he and Thornton will not be making the trip to Montreal.
Which is surprising as I just thought he had a cut above his eye.. must have nicked his eyeball or something or them to keep him out?

I wonder if there isn't an infection or excessive swelling that affects his vision.
I figure it is something that makes playing dangerous, because a cut or stitches would probably just get a cage slapped onto the helmet.
They haven't really said much about the nature of the injury other than we know it was from a high stick.

I think the closest he came to 'getting it' on the offensive side of things was his 19 goal campaign with Buffalo. If someone taught him how to bury his chances he'd be worth 4 million dollars.
I like Paille, but he is what he is.
Burying chances can only be taught to a certain point. A player has to have the instinct and reflexes to react around the net. Some have it......some don't.
Paille has his own way of making himself valuable to the team.
