Pre-Game Talk: Dallas vs Oile-OMG IS THAT A CAT WORKING AT MCDONALDS!?!

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

So legitimate question.

Does McDavid hit 100 points this year?

He’s currently at 90. Barring an early return or an injury setback, he’s probably playing April 1st vs VGK at the earliest.

That leaves 9 games until the end of the season. Does he get 10+ points in that span?
If McDavid plays 9 games, 10 points is extremely doable. However, I have a feeling he (and Draisaitl) don't return until the last few games of the season if at all before the playoffs.

Knoblauch has been very vague about their exact timelines and keeps pushing it back, so I'm not sure McDavid will have enough games to hit the milestone.

Of course he has no regrets. The bulk of the players in the room took discounts.

Yet you pay those guys double?

Give your head a shake.
Give yours a shake. Take a discount just because the idiot org loads up money for doofuses like Campbell and Arvid and have limited money left to pay for can't miss playes that could be PPG stars in the league?

What the Oilers did in not matching was idiotic. AWFUL asset management and retention.

Useless sods took discounts. Guys with limited other places to land.

Every f***ing thread in here lately is a Holloway/Broberg whine thread. f*** me, can we at least keep it somewhat contained to the appropriate thread???

We have the Around the League, this thread, biggest disappointment and then the actual whine thread all saying the same thing. Yes, it's a conspiracy by the league to f*** the Oilers and no, it is not cathartic to jerk off to pics of your ex. Half you people hated Broberg and called him a bust and now miss him like he's your 1st born. It's embarrassing.
Yup, same whimps whining over and over

Any regret from the oilers is based on them not checking the crystal ball.

You should have lent them yours.

is Rantanen the most overrated player of the last decade?

He definitely had it good being on Mackinnon’s line. There really isn’t anyone of that calibre on Dallas (which makes it odd that he signed long term with them). I feel like Rantanen would have thrived a lot more on the Oilers with a McDavid or Draisaitl

What crystal ball is required. I was saying Holloway was can't miss all along and saying he'd found his game last season and in playoffs. Almost anybody with a pulse recognized this, including STL.

Just because you didn't recognize anything in this player doesn't mean you should double down with a blind take after he's proven you wrong.

As I state this Dylan Holloway scores yet again. yet the denial that runs strong here calls him a nothing player.

So when he was injured up all of the time and getting demoted.

I believe you.

It’s not the point though. Holloway is not a one man team.

That was the point.

BTW I was 50-50 on signing they guy even at double.

But I’m not looking at his medical record. And neither are you.
