Matthews will always face the top opposition.
If Marner plays with Tavares he will face secondary opponents.
Another reason to split them up.

It's probably why Matthews, Marner and Nylander should be on different lines. All 3 can drive a line and all 3 would be best if they could be the go to guy on the line and have the puck on their stick the most.

Funny eh? When Treliving did his presser with Berube he said he wants accountability. Keefe held these guys more accountable than he has.

Keep putting the same trash PP unit out there over and over. Let Matthews and Marner be largely trash together all season long and never even consider splitting them.

Honestly, putting him there has taken him out of the game. Domi does nothing anyway, he should be stapled to that line. Can't do less than nothing. Most of the other guys at least contrubute in some way, why take that away?

This is peak stubborness keeping 34 and 16 together. That should be reserved for opportune moments, not be the default.

The fix seems so simple. Nylander is struggling, M&M has gone stale. Switch Mitch and Willy to shake up the lines and hopefully Matthews reinvigorates Nylander.
