GDT: Dallas Stars at Ottawa Senators - 5PM - TSN5 / RDS2 - To Win or Not Two Wins - Cowboy Cookout at the Okay Corel Centre

Solid win! Bit of a sluggish start to the game but they woke up late in the first and dictated the play from then on.

Very relieved we took both of the weekend games. The thought of people in here pinning to claim Brannstrom from the waiver wire makes me queasy.
If he suddenly turned into a right handed shot, I'd consider it. But he isn't going to bring anything we don't already have as a left hand D.

The sens in the first period tonight were kinda the sens that ended that trip 1-5-1. They clearly had a fire lit under their asses in that first intermission.

I have no idea what they will ultimately do but the more I see how they play in front of other goalies, the more I think we *have* to trade Forsberg and keep Leevi up as backup. Even if the trade is for pennies and he turns it around elsewhere. The team *visibly* plays differently in front of the two of them. As soon as Forsberg has even so much as a close call, the defensive scheme falls apart because they don't trust him. They end up flopping all over the ice in front of him trying to stop every puck instead of sticking to their defensive structure that's worked for them all year.

I think there's just been too many bad goals let in by Forsberg over the years and the guys who've been around don't trust him. If a coach can lose a dressing room then a goalie can too, and I think that's what's happened here.

They actually ended the 1st pretty strong and carried that forward, I don't think anything needed to be said during the intermission other than keep playing the way we played to finish the period.

Wrt Forsberg, I don't think we'd be able to trade him right now, we'll probably have to waive him and send him to Belleville

Another good hard earned win against a very good Dallas team. They are playing well & have to keep it going to stay in it. Merilainen has been very good for them since being called up, I expect whenever Ullmark gets back he will likely go back but I expect he has the inside track to replace Forsberg next season.

Great win. Leevi was solid again. Methodical and professional effort.

Still find it odd that the coaching staff doesn't put Stutzle out with the empty net. Seems like a guy they absolutely need to find a way to get out with the goalie out. Need to start putting teams away and scoring when the opposition pulls their goalie.

I didn’t watch the last two games.

I’ll see you guys next season, I’m the bad luck.

I hope people see the importance of getting decent goaltending and how the guys don't grip their sticks so hard and can actually score when we get saves

Slow first with no back breakers

This team is weird man. Get shut out by Blues and Sabres, then dominate Dallas and Penguins.
not weird...they don't trust Forsberg
