Right now, no King should be missing optional skates, not even Doughty. In my mind, their level of play as a whole, does not warrant days off.

I can see why Kopitar, Gaborik & Muzzin (who might be still recovering from injuries) would miss an optional skate, and even Doughty with how many minutes he's played thus far this season. But for players like Brown and Stoll, especially Stoll, who has done absolutely zip this season, is inexcusable.

Brown and Stoll have a combined three points and a combined -5 while taking-up over nine million in cap. Hell, McNabb has 2 points and is a +2 and he's a damn gong show out there. I know Richards has been the whipping boy around here for a while, but Brown and his contract are REALLY starting to worry me. Stoll is playing his way to a different team next year
