Post-Game Talk: Dallas Does Skinner

Nurse glaring at Skinner on the winning goal. You can't f***ing be kidding me. Skinner has no idea where puck is, Duchene playing whacamole trying to put puck in. Skinner doing nothing and then when redlight goes on he's waving hands like something went on. Not my fault Skinner waving a goal off because he didn't track the puck or something.

Looked to me like he legit gave up. He thought the initial shot beat him.

You can't rely too much on a 40 year old. At some point you know the gas tank will have the red light on.
I’m 40. Sure I’m not an athlete. But the body just starts to wear down. It’s a fact and there is no shame.

Let him sit and put him back in later

Question is ? RV or skinner replacing?

That’s a bad loss. Hopefully the boys bounce back.

We had a chance to ice the game with a PP at 3-1. The PP has been anti-clutch all year.

PK been pretty bad all year. Coaching staff hasn’t been able to adjust.

Getting out special teams like this is bad. I don’t trust the NHL wont call more penalties if it benefits Dallas.

We really had the opportunity to be in Oettingers head but now he probably has confidence. On the flip side, Skinner turned into a pumpkin.
He was and always will be a pumpkin

SOmetimes he orders those tight Kim K Skims stuff and just wraps it tightly around his belly, etc.

Numbers never lie. This dude will be lucky to even sniff 880 average this playoffs.

The fake head snap has become an epidemic in the league, with no repercussions. At a minimum the player needs to be fined and his mug goes up on the embellishment board, with a warning if it happens again it is a minimum one game suspension. It makes a garbage league even more trashy.

Don't worry. Once a Canadian team starts employing it, Bettman will be all over it.

Like bringing back LTIR players in the playoffs.

That goal epitomized everything wrong with Not My Fault Stu. Loses the puck, freezes, then flails his arms around like an idiot to nobody in particular after the puck goes in. I was shocked he didnt start his stupid head bobs after and start smiling to the crowd who were hard on the Skinnnnnnner chants, deservedly so.

Someone needs to tell that idiot that the play is live until the ref loses sight of the puck, not you.

He had 2 points and was the best player on the ice tonight by a mile.

He nearly single handedly deep 6’d the last power play and handed the puck over for the 5th to seal it.

The two points are nice, but it would be nice if he stopped over handling the puck, skating himself into turnovers on the PP, and shooting once in a blue moon.

if guys are hurt, we got Arvi and Skinner in the sidelines. f***ING USE THEM

if Connor Brown is not healthy enough to practice and is playing at 50-60%, then a healthy Arvi or Skinner are much better options. hopefully Podz and Hyman are fine after taking those missiles
I highly doubt they put Skinner in. The coaches clearly do not have enough trust in him, J. Brown was dressed over him for several games. He's been stapled to the PB since his 1 playoff game.

They'll move Arvidsson in likely, maybe take out Perry? I dunno, but Perry had a poor showing I think. I'd almost be inclined to take out Frederic except he's younger. They may take out Stecher and put Emberson back in, who knows. The runway is much, much shorter, and you can't afford to lose games as this is now down to 4 teams competing. And they don't have Pickard available so...

I wouldn't go that far especially in Game 1. We'll be back.
I’m mostly just super mad right now and over reacting but losing like that can change everything.
Dallas has all the momentum in the series right now and their special teams are light years better than ours. The Oilers need to play like every single penalty is an auto goal against cause it essentially is.

This is the 2nd series and team we've faced where the opponent bench are all laughing at how completely awful Stewed Skinner is. Last time we had Pickard come in and save the first round.

Worst fears confirmed that Stew Skinner great slumpbuster that he is gets a Dallas offense going that had nothing going. He even kickstarted his PP.

Duchene: "I didn't think I'd ever score an NHL goal again, thanks Skinner" That duchene goal should cause a goalie to NEVER see the ice again. Problem is theres been 50 other goals like that which should've ended Skinners career. But here we are.

What does the team do? They caved Dallas first two periods but they have a landmine in goal.

This is what's frustrating. Through 40 minutes, Dallas looked awful. They've lived and died on their PP all playoffs, and we handed them several chances with moronic penalties.

Stay out of the box and we're fine.

The irony is, that for a long time special teams was our forte, and now that our 5x5 is actually working our special teams has been below average.

Guly needs to step it up
