I cannot believe it's been 8 years and we are still having these Stanley discussions. I'd rather have Mark Stuart in the lineup at this point. It's exhausting.
Ya i don't care if Stanley is 7"6 the guy isn't a good enough skater and not smart enough on the ice, it's why he takes so many dumb penalties. Thought the Jets played pretty good under the circumstances and could have won both of the last 2 games. Hopefully Ehlers isn't out too long and Stanley forgets how to get to the arena on Tuesday.:naughty:

Wow, I'm not going to read any more of this negativity.

We played well, not good enough to win but I thought our effort was respectable, especially after the schedule we've been put through. I can't believe that any fan of the team would criticize the players, the same players that have us STILL leading the entire league in ROW and tied for first in points.

And to point out the obvious as I flounce angrily out of the room, we twice came within inches of tying the game in the last 180 seconds.

Door slam.
Me too damnit .

Seems to be feast or famine when it comes to our goal scoring. Just glad we have a bit of a cushion with our great start. Here's hoping we don't squander that before Christmas...

I certainly don't expect the Jets to be a 9-1 or even an 8-2 team for the rest of the season. They just aren't that. But it would be nice if we could be a 6-4 team for the remainder.

If I had a prog rock band it would be called The Logan Stanley Experiment. We would have one song, and it would last forever.

Decent game vs a good team at the end of a long road trip, lose 2-1 plus an empty netter. Win is better of course but happy with the game/effort considering. Refs certainly didn’t help the Jets in any way.

Loudly agree. We need to bench/demote the pylon and put Coghlan back in. Maybe a bit more shooting practice for the front 6 but mostly they need to unlag and sleep.

Both games in Vegas and Dullass were closer than score shows and we were in both until the last few minutes. This team hasn't suddenly lost its mojo, just needs to rest and reset a bit.
Isn't Coghlan a RD? They have to put Heinola back in, we have to see if he can perform at this level. I'm just wondering if his ankle is feeling sore.

I think the Jets would love for him to play in the A the whole year, we already have a log jam at D so unless 1 or maybe 2 D gets moved that's where he will be.
Yup and that makes sense being his first year in NA pro. Let him get used to things in the AHL.

Why do U say kfc was bad? He was the only jet who backchecked on their first goal. Demelo should have got up faster and tried to get back.
Yeah I didnt see anything wrong with Connor. Of the top line hes been the guy who looks consistently motivated to up his game to the next level.

I'd really like to see them rest Scheifele. Whatever is going on with his hand needs to get better.

Yup - I was really frustrated last night but it was with the result and not the game. For a tired road weary bunch I think the boys really gave everything they had - and at the end of the day, thats all you can ask for.

against teams with size and speed the jets will have problems...pefetti, connor continally being pushed off the puck for example,
stanley seems to have plateaued in regards to improving to the point of being a regular...wonder if he is showcased for a trade?

Why do some people pretend that the jets are taking an ox wagon across the country like the Oregon Trail? They're flying in chartered jets in high end comfort.
And landing at 2:30am, often in different time zones from where they took off

Your circadian ryrhym doesn't give a f*** about what kind of plane you're on. Or are these guys somehow immune to the laws of physiology?

How does your body like the next morning after staying up to watch the west coast games? A little sluggish?

I am interested to see how Stanley bounces back from this game. I still think the Jets need a goon on defense so Lowry doesn't have to do all the battling for his teammates. And Lowry sure battled harder than anyone this afternoon. I don't know if you need that role in the playoffs as much but to make it through the regular season, Stanley might have to hurt some people. I also said earlier I think Stanley is more of a protected home matchup player, a game like this might make it harder for Arniel to draw him in on the road.

I am not going to go on a Stanley rant, because what I see is that Fleury has been respectable in two difficult road games and on the penalty kill, and that's in an unprotected top 4 role. If he can translate the good things he is doing with Pionk into a 3rd pairing role, both Stanley and Heinola are probably on the outside looking in when Sammy comes back.

The one thing I'll say is that if the PP doesn't score, you have a road trip like this one where the Jets only put up 14 goals in 6 games, and that might catch Chevy's attention, especially with Scheif obviously hurt, that secondary scoring is a need.

I guess the other thing I'll say is I'd sure like to draw Dallas in the playoffs. The way the Jets tuned them and got to Oettinger in Winnipeg, and the way Dallas really struggled to beat this tired Jets team, at the end of a 10 000 km adventure, with two key players out, I think the Jets would beat them in a 7 game series.
I didn't really mind the Jets' play in yesterday's game or on this road trip. It's been a brutal schedule, they have some banged up players, etc. but they were still competitive.

My main concern is that Arniel has made it very plain that the Jets plan to force Stanley into the top 6 because he's a big body. I don't disagree that the Jets need more size in their D, but Stanley isn't the answer.

What it says to me is that acquiring a big LHD should be near the top of Chevy's priority list. I don't think they can go into the stretch run and playoffs as a true contender with the penalty-prone and sluggish Stanley in their top 6.

I've traveled a lot and I'm always sluggish off of planes. Can't imagine what it's like to be on then every second day.

Agree about Scheifele but now with no Ehlers, man that would be tough.
