I'd let them take their pick at either Nemeth/Oleksiak. One/both need to go. I saw a lot of Puempel when he was a Pete, I'm not huge on the guy but I'd take a chance on him.

I.....I didn't even know there WAS a Jake.

I think he meant the other one, though.

The one who will now forever be known across Canada, simply as "Penny's brother".

Ehhh. I'd rather not. Puempel is set to finally make the roster and has enough of a two-way game to potentially play up/down the roster.

If he has a bad camp and gets put on waivers, it isn't the end of the world. There will be plenty of other good players on wiavers and I doubt he'll get claimed. If there's an injury, he's a lock for the NHL full time and provides some scoring depth.

Neither Oleksiak or Nemeth seem like a better option than Claesson or Chabot for that matter.

I'll concede that they're both probably better NHLers than Borowiecki.
