Trade: [DAL/LAL/UTAH] Luka Doncic is a Laker, Anthony Davis is a Maverick and many other pieces

Only reasonable explanation is that Nico is a double agent for the Lakers because in no other way does this trade make any sense.

If you want a defensive player like Davis, you add him to the core of Luka and Kyrie not subtract.

If you have concerns about Luka's health, you don't trade him for another injury prone player.

If you are bent on moving Luka then you make a bidding war.

How they did this makes absolutely no sense.

Still makes no sense that Dallas didn't pick up a big name star around 25 years old + prospects + lots of draft picks. Geniuses to draft Trae Young then trade Trae Young for Luka. Just crazy all around. Max Christie does nothing.

Like who? You're not getting SGA for him. Ant Edwards? Is Minnesota ever doing that? Jayson Tatum?

The NBA and NFL gotta be rigged/scripted at this point. What in the actual f*** is this trade for Dallas. And no Luka didn’t ask out, he was absolutely stunned when he found out. Apparently he hasn’t replied back to any of Nico’s calls. This is one of the worst trades I’ve ever seen in any sport. AD is a good player but guy is 32 and could literally break down at any time. This trade makes a ton of sense for LA. Nico must REALLY!!!! Love AD to not talk to any other teams… or like I mentioned it’s all scripted. It’s been almost 24 hours and I’m still stunned. LA always ends up getting the superstar in their prime, it’s like clock work

You can’t honestly tell me OKC couldn’t offer like 10 of their gazillion 1st round picks for him? Not that it would make sense..but on the other hand someone could’ve beaten that AD package for sure

Nico Harrison is unhinged and the owners for signing off on this. These dudes need to be investigated for malpractice. That press conference was an actual disaster. I feel so bad for Mavs fans.

Trade would be rejected in some fantasy leagues by the commissioner.

Unless of course the commissioner and owners are corrupt.

I’m not saying anything but just saying.

they will be talking about this trade for the next 30 years…. Nico is officially the worst GM in all of sports. By the way that press conference was one of the worst things I’ve watched in my life. How did this guy get a job?

Not bad. My only quibble is for the comparison to really work, there has to be a guy in his mid 20's in the trade.

No, not even close aside from shock value. That was a superstar in his prime for 2 good players and a role player.

I think Anthony Davis is a more consequential player than Hischier though. It's also 2 guys the same age in this one.
Yeah, you're right. Someone on the Canucks subforum said it was more like Hughes for Hedman, which is a bit closer to accurate.

One of the worst sports trades I can remember. Even if you aren't sold on Luka's conditioning and health long-term, this is not the trade you make.

Tin foil says this is part of the an agreement to torpedo the franchise and move them to Vegas, since the owners have casino interests and failed to get them to pass in Texas.

Sorry Mavs fans. This is abominable.

Thought it was fascinating to see Durant reacting to the trade. On the bench. During the game. Checking his phone.

What the hell is going on in the NBA? And will they add "Check what the haters online are saying about your performance" in the 2k games?

In-N-Out is the most overrated burger chain out there. It's fine. Just fine.

I'll have it once a week or two, as it's good enough, decent value, and consistent. But I'll never understand when I see 25-30 cars in the drive through line for it.

Nothing better for helping knock down my migraines though, for some reason.

It's a fast food burger. There's only so many places a fast food burger can go. It's never gonna blow your mind. I think In-N-Out is upper echelon fast food burger, but the problem is that Californians spent so much time hyping it up that it could never live up to that expectation.

As close as Bron and AD are, hes definitely thrilled with this trade full stop.

Couldn't believe this when I saw it last night and needed time to process it. The initial thought, like most, was thinking Shams got hacked and then it ended up being true. Probably the craziest trade I've ever seen and been old enough to remember in any sport. Wow.

I've seen all the talk of Luka being out of shape, possible relationship issues with the Mavs, upcoming contract, etc but none of it makes sense. If you feel you have to move him, how is this the trade you make? You don't start a bidding war? The answer might be no but you don't give OKC a call about Chet and all of those picks they have? Mobley on the Cavs? If you specifically want a big man to win now and not one of the younger guys, at least give the Bucks a call about Giannis? The reporting suggests they specifically targeted the Lakers and AD and sent the trade in. They didn't even get all of the Lakers available first round picks! Unbelievable.

Great trade for the Lakers. Absolute no-brainer. They're going nowhere with this current team but now they're set up for the next decade. It was always, "who is going to be the next guy after LeBron and AD?" They always get that guy eventually but in the present it was a big question mark. Well, they got a 25 year old franchise player, who also happens to be a top five NBA player.

Agreed.

OKC got a top prospect in Shai, five unprotected first round picks & two pick swaps for a 29 year old Paul George. Macs could've gotten double that for Luka.
