Worthless. Completely worthless. I wouldn't have claimed him on waivers.
We WaNt PlAyErS who WaNt To Be HeRe.

Like I said before, I could probably get Waddell to give me $20 by telling him it wanted out of his pocket and offering him $10 for it.

General scouting report shows he should be a good puck moving defenseman with good skating ability.

We'll see how he turns out with a change of scenery but he's also only 22 and he played with Mateychuk on Moose Jaw. He may not have been a top 6 pick but he could be a good fit with the organization as we try to build some depth and skating ability to move the puck.

Oh goody, he was a juniors teammate. Because that means anything anywhere in any way when it comes to actual NHL performance.
You said he was “worthless”. I pointed out a fact and connection with our best player in the organization not yet playing in the NHL.

The organization is making the correct decision building around Mateychuk, and not Jiricek.

You guys have to get over Jiricek (and Laine vs Harris), HE’S NO LONGER A CBJ PLAYER!!! Worry about who is here and who we are building behind!! ;)

Which does not make him worth anything more.

Uh, yes it does, even if YOU don’t personally understand it. If I cared more I’d look back at your posts about Roslovic and Kuraly being added to the team because of their connections to the area.
This was not nor was it ever a choice between the two.
You know this based on what exactly. Oh yes, just you talking as if your opinion is fact again. Are we gonna pay 3 offensive defenseman 7+ million at 1 time?? Isn’t that what some of you are expecting of shit brain Jiricek??

How many times have you brought up Seth Jones, again? Or Laine, for that matter?
Oh, you get the joke, that’s good. And Jones actually gave us good years of hockey.

How about that Jones trade now? Or shouldn’t the same feelings you have of him be expressed in regards to both Laine and Jiricek?? I’ll laugh my ass off when he’s re-acquired.

No, I'm writing him off because he's 22 and he hasn't shown a damn thing to indicate he'll be anything more than a disposable dime-a-dozen bottom pairing guy at best, of the exact same type that Waddell spent his opening months here in the organization literally giving away for free.
It was Vogelhuber who said that we shouldn't begin to start judging Dmen until they've played about 300ish pro games when he was talking about Jiricek this off-season. The same goes for Hunt, who has about 130ish pro games? He's going to be slotting into one of the best teams in the AHL on a loaded blueline. Let's give him some time in the system before we jump to conclusions about a 22 year old kid.

I think you are being too harsh. If you listen to that Wild prospect podcast they said he was by far Iowa's best D. I don't think it should be a knock on him either that he couldn't stick with Minnesota this season as they are the 2nd best team in the NHL. Seems unfair that he's automatically Jordan Harris - none of us have ever watched Hunt play

They also had him ranked 8th in their system that is consensus top 5. That's nothing to sneeze at.
