Hakan Andersson seems to think this kid has some upside, said he might have more offensive upside than Lindstrom who Detroit took in round 2. He recently has grown a bit and is supposedly 6'6", his coach said he made a lot of progress this year from start to finish.

Any Swedish posters see this kid and have an opinion?

Did not put up points in Denmark. Did not put up points in U16. Did not put up points in J18. Did not put up points in J20. I'm sure he's a good player and good size of course but not many who are good offensively struggle to put up points at lower levels in Sweden, even D-men.

I read up about him some time ago... sounded interesting... big Dane playing in Sweden... seems like hes grown a town, from 6'3 to 6'6? Thats a big spurt for sure!

I think 12 points in 38 games is ok actually. For example Gabriel Carlsson (drafted by CBJ in 1st round in 2015) only put up 7 points in 39 games in his draft year.

It's decent. Most players who go on to have success put up more points than that in draft year and years around draft year. Was talking about the comment about his offensive upside. I don't think CBJ drafted Carlsson because he had a lot of offensive upside.

Did not put up points in Denmark? Could you please provide statistical data that proves your point, because that is not my impression? I have followed him for 6-7 years and he has always been producing at a good rate for a D-man. I don't claim that he is a goal scoring monster, but he is not your typical stay at home defenseman.

U13 Danish Championship 2012: Made 4 goals and 3 assists in 7 games. Elected tournament best D-man.
U15 Danish (East) league 2014: Made 1 goal and 4 assists in 7 games.
U15 Danish Championship 2014: Made 3 goals in 5 games. Again among the best D-men of the tournament.
U17 Danish (East) league 2014: Spend most of the season as a U15 player in a limited role on a stacked Rødovre U17 team. No wonder he didn't produce much.

If you look at his most recent play in the SuperElit, he has been producing at a fair rate in my opinion: From January to March 2017 he played in SuperElit Top10, and produced 1 PP goal, 3 PP assists and 4 EQ assists in 16 games. In the same games he also had a +8 rating. That puts him in the top10 for D-man assists, Top15 for D-man points and Top10 for +/-. That is not bad for a boy who is still adjusting to a body that has grown a lot.

Will he make it to the NHL? If you look at it statistically he will not; few 4th round picks does, but if he does I believe he could be producing better than a normal "stay at home" defender.

So when this guy was drafted, the NHL had him listed at 6'2", 165 lbs. I'm not sure where Malmö got their info, but they currently have him at 5'6", 112 lbs.

Dude is actually 6'7", 205? Was he a really late bloomer, or has everyone just been measuring him from 30 feet away?

That's all really odd. The Red Wings camp had him listed at 6'6", 192lbs right after the draft, according to this article: Danish defenseman Malte Setkov stood above all at development camp

I think I'd trust that over the others.
