Blonda is a late birthday 2008, this means he is eligible for the upcoming OHL Draft, but won‘t be NHL Draft eligible until 2027. Blonda is currently one of the top defenders in his age group in Ontario, he played this past season for a real strong group out of the Soo but almost the entire team has been gutted and many will be playing elsewhere next season, Blonda and teammate Rossetto will be joining the Jr. Penguins along with othwr top Canadian talents such as Alex McLean, and Kent Greer.


Blonda is an excellent skater, he possesses good 4 way mobility that he uses to great effect jumping into the play in transition, he’s not afraid to throw the body, has a deadly shot from the point and has very good puck skills from the point. He’s also got that swagger to him that most elite kids have.

It’ll be interesting to see how he plays in a new system this year and should be an interesting follow moving forward.

I saw him this morning against Caesars. LC won the game handily but Blonda had some really good moments. The kid has good size and your description is accurate about his confidence - he is. He should be.
