POSITION BREAKDOWN

Dustin Brown / Anze Kopitar / Phil Kessel vs. Patrick Sharp / Jonathan Toews / Marian Hossa

This is pretty close. Sharp is better than Brown, Kopitar is even with Toews, and Kessel is better than Hossa. Winner: Push.

Max Pacioretty / Mike Richards / Jeff Carter vs. Mike Cammalleri / Patrick Kane / Jakub Voracek

This one isn't as close. Patches is much better than Cammalleri, Carter is what Philly hope Voracek will become, and Kane isn't even playing his natural position (he's not even playing center on Team USA!). Winner: Kings.

Scott Hartnell / Jiri Hudler / Nikolai Kulemin vs. Curtis Glencross / Tomas Plekanec / Ales Hemsky

I think Hartnell is better than Glencross, Pleks is better than Hudler, and Hemsky is better than Kulemin (if Hemsky is "on", if he's on a cold streak he's pretty much useless). Also, Hudler isn't playing his natural position. Winner: Hawks.

Dwight King / Trevor Lewis / Derek Dorsett vs. Brandon Bollig / Michal Handzus / Kris Versteeg

Kings fans love Dwight King, Rangers fans love Derek Dorsett, and Trevor Lewis is a person. Bollig made a funny video, Handzus is fine, and Versteeg is overpaid. This is more of a voter's decision, but I'll take my team. Winner: Kings.

Drew Doughty / Jake Muzzin vs. Mark Giordano / Duncan Keith

Doughty and Keith are equal, and Giordano is better than Muzzin. Winner: Hawks.

Willie Mitchell / Slava Voynov vs. Niklas Hjalmarsson / Braydon Coburn

Hjalmersson and Mitchell share very similar roles on their teams: the franchise defensive defenseman. While Hjalmersson is better than Mitchell, it doesn't make up the massive difference betweem Voynov and Coburn. Voynov is one of the best young defensemen in the league, and Coburn is a mediocre defenseman on one of the most mediocre defenses in the league. Winner: Kings.

Henrik Tallinder / Derek Morris vs. Alexei Emelin / Andrew Ference

This guys are pretty similar to each other, but TSN thinks that Morris is a top 10 defenseman, and Ference is a diver. Winner: Push. (but really Kings.)

Ryan Miller
Ben Scrivens

vs.

Corey Crawford
Antti Raanta

Miller's been able to remain in the top ten in save percentage (among goalies with more than 20 GP) even though he's on the absolute worst team in the league. Now in a defensive system, he will return to his elite status very quickly. And if he fails, we still have the leading goalie in save percentage in Ben Scrivens. Not bad. Chicago has Corey Crawford, a mediocre goaltender that isn't close to the level of Miller. Winner: Kings.

Y'all know what to do.

Positional breakdown:

Brown - Kopitar - Kessel vs. Sharp - Toews - Hossa
- I'll take constant Selke contender and proven winner in Jonathan Toews over Anze Kopitar without even thinking twice. Kessel is better than Marian Hossa but Hossa is much more proven playoff performer and his defensive game is very much ahead to Kessel'. Pretty even to this point but comparison between Sharp and Brown just tips this to my side without a doubt.
Winner: Hawks.

Pacioretty - Richards - Carter vs. Cammalleri - Kane - Voracek
- Pacioretty is better than Cammalleri, not even going to argue that. Carter is very good goalscorer but so is Voracek so that's pretty even, especially as Carter is not playing in his natural position. Richards is better defensively but Kane is better in every single other aspect of the game and he has played center in his career before. Latest player to win the Conn Smythe trophy too. Very small edge to Kings in this.
Winner: Kings.

Hartnell - Hudler - Kulemin vs. Glencross - Plekanec - Hemsky
- Hartnell is not the player he used to be and has been regressing quickly. I'll take Glencross over him. Plekanec and Hudler is a mismatch, easy advantage Pleks. Hemsky is very incostistent player but Kulemin has not been in his best in years so i would still take Hemsky over him.
Winner: Hawks.

King - Lewis - Dorsett vs. Bollig - Handzus - Versteeg
- King over Bollig without a doubt. Handzus was 2C in cup-winning Hawks team last season and he is way ahead of Lewis. Versteeg has not been at his best for few years but even at his worst he is better player than Dorsett.
Winner: Hawks.

Doughty - Muzzin vs. Giordano - Keith -
- Doughty is among the bestyoung #1D's in the league but Keith is proven Norris-trophy winner and currently best D in the league. Giordano and Muzzin is a mismatch which makes the gap even bigger.
Winner: Hawks.

Mitchell - Voynov vs. Hjalmarsson - Coburn -
- Hjalmarsson has some true #2D potential which lead to my decision to trade Seabrook. Especially when i acquired Giordano too in another deal. Mitchell is good top-4 D but Hjalmarsson has edge on him. Coburn has not been at his best in last few years but he is still very competent top-4 D who has been improving lately. Voynov has slight edge on him which tips this pretty even, maybe small edge to Kings.
Winner: Kings.

Tallinder - Morris vs. Emelin - Ference -
- All 4 would definitely be top-4 D's in most teams but for me i'll take Emelin over Tallinder, who like Coburn has not been at his best in last few years. Ference played key-role in Bruins cup win and always plays well in the playoffs.
Winner: Hawks.

Miller - Scrivens vs. Crawford - Raanta -
- This match-up is pretty even when it comes to starting goalies. I'll take Crawford with a very small edge towards Miller because during the last years Miller has gone downhill while Crawford has been climbing uphill and quickly. Had Conn Smythe worthy performance last season and has shown to be capable of big things. Scrivens is better than Raanta and that tips this even.
Winner: Push.

Good luck to Ben, thanks for reading and i believe you know what to do. ;)
