They're both clearly above every player at their age level. The talent these two have is incredible. Nela still has two more cracks at the U18's after this one is over, she's going to be playing on the senior team next tournament (D1A). The Slovakian coach has the two best players split up, we'll see how long that lasts though. When it comes to Nela it's not wrong to say she has the potential to be up there with Wick, MPP, Knight, Potter, etc. She's going to be huge for the Slovakian women's program. Primerano is a defender that women's hockey has never seen before. She's essentially Canada's women's team Cale Makar which is fitting she wears no. 8. Her skating has no equal as she's able to go to the net for a scoring chance and then catch up on the backcheck to make a play. Not to mention she has a wicked shot and so does Nela. We're watching two generational prospects develop here who wouldn't look out of place in the PWHL. Primerano has 57 points in 15 games in the CSSHL U18 girls division and won the MVP last year with ~40 points in 30 games with another year of U18 eligibility left. Going to be a very fun time watching these two play hockey for the next two decades or so.

Leads the tournament in points, tied the record for most points by a defender in a single U18 Women's WJC, set the record for most goals by a defender in a single U18 Women's WJC. Do you all remember Dominic Ducharme misusing Makar in 2018? Same thing happening here only mirrored. Primerano wasn't used as the 7th defender but she was, for some reason, not on PP1. This was especially egregious when Canada was down 3-2, got a PP...and Primerano was out for the last 30 seconds of it. It's not her fault Kraemer tried to deke through three players right in front of her when Primerano was wide open or they didn't pair Primerano up with her RHA Kelowna teammate in Gracie Graham. Weird to mention she's a -2 when she scored the first goal for Canada. Her tournament isn't even over yet and she'll be back next year.

Not only the MVP... the MVP by a country kilometre (keeping it Canadian). You watch one game and you'll see how much more dominant she is than anyone else out there. The skating, pateince, positioning, just about everything is levels above anyone else.

Literally the Bedard of women's hockey. She's gonna do great stuff in the NCAA and so on as her career progresses.
