Two way defender that combines fantastic edge work with astute defensive play. Barnett is not afraid to throw the body, but he is smart when he will go for the hit, seldom will he throw himself out of position to make a check - he is good at picking his spots. He is a confident kid, he is not afraid of being a puck driver in the offensive zone - at times he is a little how you say… ambitious? And loses the puck after he tries to do too much. All in all he seems like a kid to watch for 2025 - should be interesting to see how things play out going forward.

He's the second best of the NTDP defenseman currently after Trethewey. They are paired together on the first pair, and play a lot. He's not so good though that I think it's impossible one of the others could surpass him. He's a good player, but a little bland. I don't even know whether to call him a defensive defenseman or a puck-moving defenseman. You probably hope for a best case scenario of like a left-handed Faber.

He skates well, plays physically, is already 6'0, and is good in his own end. Has a little bit of offensive skill, but he's probably better without the puck than with. Not a real upside player. I'd be shocked if he's not a draft pick though. Probably not going to be much later than like round 4 or so, and maybe round 2, if all goes well.

One of Michigan's better pickups in recent years. Their recruiting has dropped off, but this was some shrewd recruiting by Michigan.

He makes very few mistakes for a defenseman his age. There's not a lot of high-end potential, but I do think he's very likely to be picked somewhere round 2-4. No holes and very steady defensively.

6'0 186 to 6'1 195 in the preseason measurements. As a defensive defenseman, that added size should help him hold up in pro hockey in the physical battles. Cant hurt his draft stock.
