And Lindholm-Lorhei-Wotherspoon on the left for next season? I wanna see Peeke play but I don't hate it. Room to add another guy and maker Wotherspoon the 7th.
Best to add a top 4 LD and use Wotherspoon as the #7. Lohrei needs more time before playing in the top 4.

I have no opinion of this trade, one way or the other. All depends on whether he develops into a consistent NHL RHD or not....I got no problems letting Zboril go. His days as a Bruin ended months ago. The 3rd Rd pick on top of that was a little steep, unless we think this kid has upside.

We shall see.

I like taking a gamble on this type of player. There is something there. That said, the term and cap hit give me concern. That's a negative value asset IMO. Especially when you see guys like Wotherspoon signing for $800k. I just don't like seeing precious cap space being shelled out for non-impact players.

Excellent move. We needed an upgrade on Shattenkirk. Not too familiar with Peeke's game but he has good size and decent stats considering his terrible team.

People want to say his numbers don't look great because he was on a really bad team, but they're ignoring the truth. He wasn't just on a really bad team, he was the worst player on a really bad team. :naughty:

Donnie Harvard showing me he can do worse than signing Forbert by going out and trading assets for a stiff that's even worse, but with two years of term still left on his contract, just when Forbert was about to come off the books. Donnie playing checkers while everyone else is playing chess.

Also hope Zboril finds a role in Columbus, was always buried behind some stacked d corps here
Yeah, but he got a lot of legitimate chances to prove himself. It isn’t like he was just buried. The Bruins really tried to make it work in the face of the disastrous first round in 2015.

Very fair, also seemed to get hurt any time he started playing okay in the NHL....oh well

I’m old enough to remember when Hampus Lindholm had bad basic and advanced stats on a bad team.

Still didn’t get benched…
Maybe he was sick of playing for a sh*tty team with a dysfunctional management. Plenty of 3rd pair Dmen have come to the B's with the same or similar reputation. Let's see if they can straighten his head out. 2 good years of defensive metrics(blocks/hits) on a bad team is worth taking on as a project.
Zboril and a pick 3 years from now is bupkis.

Little bit erratic from what I've seen, but an excellent add. Size, moves the puck well, plays physical and blocks a lot of shots. He's going to take some pressure off on the PK.

Plus he's young and signed through next season.

Down the right side of the defense:
McAvoy
Carlo
Peeke

That is locked down. I'm a BIG fan of this move.

Now what happens to fit him in?
thx for the scouting report, honestly know nothing about this kid

Good size and tools, aggressive, likes to compete…positionally chaotic and inefficient. Can hit and block shots though! Maybe Quaider can teach him how to angle?
"positionally chaotic and inefficient" might be the greatest scouting report comment I have ever heard, bravo, love it

I say that not because I agree nor disagree, I know zippo about this kid

So a young player quitting on his team rather than trying to improve it is a better scenario for you? Yikes that's some horrendous logic, bro

Drouin was scratched amd benched just a year ago on a trash team and is resurging again on a good Avs team.

There are a lot of guys each year who seem to suddenly improve when they get off of a bad team and obviously some don't.

I dont know much about Peeke, but I always think there's a bit of mental fatigue that comes with being on shitty teams, it isn't fun showing up every day (year) just to get beat the majority of the time.

As always I'm willing to be patient and see how he fits here, he's a bit younger so the chance he starts getting it in a better system is possible.

Or play 12 minutes or less some games. On a non playoff team.

He will be pairing with Lorhei or more likely Gryz to help him with puck moving. Bringing him in allows the Bruins to keep Lorhei in the lineup without having to do a Gryz/Lorhei + Shattenkirk pairing. He adds size and toughness to the bottom pair. He will be able to allow you to lighten McAvoy's PK load so he will have more 5 on 5 minutes.
