Confirmed with Link: D - Alexander Nikishin signs 2 year ELC

The only other question then is, if the goal is to get him some AHL games why haven't they gotten Chicago to give him an ATO? He theoretically would feast on AHL talent and carry the Wolves probably
I don’t think that is the goal, it’s just an option if the Canes’ season ends first. Goal is for him to be injury insurance or to rotate in to the playoff lineup

It’s a funny and sensitive thing to be mad about. It’s just a fact that’s true or not. Not like she’s shitting on us or anything.

I feel like not enough attention is being given to the fact that his signing was announced through the NHL officially, yet that turned out not to be true.

If I were a journalist I’d be all over that detail. Something goofy happened.

If that's the case, IMO it speaks louder for the reason being his eligibility to play in the AHL playoffs, and that only.

Dispell goofyness, sign the boy.

All this seems like SKA and his Russian agent having sour grapes. They didn't want to release him right away and are probably upset that their best player didn't want to stay there.
I absolutely agree with this

But at the same time, now that there is no AHL to play in anymore, there is absolutely no reason to delay signing him. Get it done so it can all be resolved.

Also, even if everyone is still healthy, I would play him tomorrow just to give some fresh legs after last night. NJ had 5D playing the entire night, Pesce had an absurd TOI. If ever there was a time to plug in an elite level talent on the blue line to give us an extra boost who can hit and had a shot, it's tomorrow afternoon against a team that absolutely will be plagued with tired legs.
