Undersized offensive defenseman for Mount St Charles Academy 14U AAA this past year, hailing from Indianapolis. AJ Foyt V is the great grandson of AJ Foyt, the 4 time Indy 500 winner, 1972 Daytona 500 winner and current IndyCar owner. Foyt V's dad AJ Foyt IV raced in IndyCar in the late 2000s as well. His maternal grandfather was Jim Irsay, NFL owner of the Indianapolis Colts until his recent death, and his mother, Casey Irsay Foyt, is now one of the current owners of the Colts.

Foyt is a late 2010, meaning he isn't eligible until the 2029 NHL Draft, but he's a candidate to make the 2026-27 NTDP U17 as was brought up in that thread.

Love this kid's game but he needs to grow... a lot. Last I saw him he was both on the short side and skinny. I pray he gets bigger as his skill on D is really great. A real high IQ and good stick handler

I think it's pretty damn cool that a kid from Indianapolis with family near the top of open wheel auto racing and football royalty caught the hockey bug and is playing at a high level for a well known hockey academy/AAA organization.
