Abe Barnett is the younger brother of NTDP defender Asher. He is a very good defender in his own right and will see himself selected to the NTDP this season also. Very good in his own zone. another kid I am not sure why he doesn’t have a thread.

Agree. I like his defensive game. Plays similar to Asher, but probably a little better. Asher likely a little more two-way with a better puck game. Abe is a little taller.

I think he's probably a lock for the NTDP.

He's a good defensive player. Similar to his brother there, but I don't think his hockey sense is as good or he's as good with the puck. A little taller already I believe, so that's working in his advantage. Skating and defensive game is there. More of a true "warrior, dives in front of pucks" defensive defenseman that won't hurt you with his skating and puck-moving. Don't see much offensive upside.

Long way until 2027, but could end up a second or third round pick eventually.

He's worse than Asher for sure. Taller and better skater at the same age, but worse hockey player. Panics with the puck a lot. Defensively very hit or miss. Too reckless.

Let's see how next season goes. He's a 2027 eligible, so a few drafts to go for him anyway.

What’s the deal with the program taking so many brothers ? It’s statistically impossible that just because one brother there the other one deserves it !
