Damn what a terrible time for Czech fans Chytil again out with concussion (I am worried he has like 1-2 years before he calls it quits in NHL to keep his health), Kulich 20yrs and already first concussion, hope he doesnt go the same way Chytil does, Jiricek again not playing anywhere and our AHL prospects are all kinda invisible lately

Not very optimistic views for the future right now lol

Yup.. no chytil or Kulich sucks. A second team not letting jiricek play hockey is amazing to me. Send him to the AHL!

This has to be rock bottom but then I saw guys like Nosek and faksa don't have contracts for next season. It just keeps getting worse lol

Vancouver Canucks Coach Rick Tocchet has updated the media that Filip Chytil has suffered his 5th career concussion, which is a potential career ending injury.

I am alreads finding articles that this might be end of the line for Chytil. Health has to be put on the first place of course.

But from a sports perspective, that could be another crushing blow for czech hockey. Losing a top 6 forward at the age of 25 who could potentialy go for another 10 seasons in NHL

Add to It Kulich already with concussion at age of 20. Jiricek completely f***ed, Another Jiricek fading completely in OHL. Svozil and Spacek 22 and 23 yrs old already and both far from stable NHL spot. Other AHL prospects also not exactly shining, more the opposite.

Zero shock on losing Chytil but agree, it sucks. We lost Voracek and O. Kase to this as well. Then Francouz with an early retirement. The CT24 broadcast both would have been a top 6 line with a starting goalie.lmao

Svozil and Spacek are indeeed getting worrisome. So is Jiricek. They all look awesome at tourneys and then fade away in AHL back to Europe.lol

Number of players with at least around 30 games in NHL from that 22-23 WJC rosters:
Czechs - 2
Canada - 11
USA - 5 (but lot of guys are NCAA bound)
Sweden - 2
Finland - 0
Switzerland - 1 (I wil give them Bischel he is pretty close)

So that actually calmed me down a bit lol, we are on par with Sweden and better then Finland and Switzerland. Canada and US will be of course always way ahead.

But problem is, that we played superb in that turney, going toe to toe with Canada in finals, I really expected we will be at around 4-5 players with 30 or more NHL games by now.

Second problem, Sweden and Finland have way more skaters in the NHL, so they dont need new players that desperatelly as we do.

Thats even worse ... though he might not have concussion this time no? Or is it confirmed? I read that he is on some sort of concussion protocol with suspicion of concussion.

Just need a few guys to hit but they simply aren't. Klapka is playing regularly now which is good. Ivan got half a season which is encouraging. Blumel and jenik are doing very well in AHL. Stezka and skarek got a look. Jiricek had a few nice games. Kulich seems to be a full time nhler. It's nowhere near enough but still hoping for a few breakthroughs. Vrana is playing full time.

My fear is it gets worse though .. eg. If Nosek, rutta and faksa are done. Are there three guys replacing them? Is Vrana coming back? That would be 4 less. Jenik gone? Blumel?
