Nice little fluff piece on Kulich but the point stands. They are developing him as a NHL C and utilizing his speed. A fast NHL C? God bless Lindy Ruff and the Buffalo Sabres Organizations! Dekuju!

Imagine if this continues injury free and he's established by this time in a year and our C situation is Kulich, Hertl, Zacha, Kampf and Chytil. C is always a weakness for us and that isn't bad at all. No elite 1C like a Barkov or McD but that would be a nice spine to build around and I'm sure Necas and Pasta wouldn't be too upset to have these guys feeding them.

3 games in a row and all in Canada... kind of a cool trip for him. I expect back to AHL but maybe he gets enough eyes on him that someone is interested? I don't think he's waiver elibigible next season. So they have to make a choice with him. Maybe they let him go and he signs elsewhere in NHL on a 2 way? Maybe he gets traded for as a 'throw in'. Or he ends up in Europe and is on the NT with open arms.

Laugh away, I was positive he'd be a full time NHLer today.lol

He's beating the best! It's crazy. These aren't easy starts.lol Road trip games against the cream of the crop. And he outduelled Oettinger last night.

I know it won't last and is unsustainable but this heater is great and it may keep him in the NHL for the rest of the season.

Also, the East Wildcard spot looks like 6 or 7 teams vying for 2 spots. This is helping the Habs a lot too!

Did not see any of this coming. I was thinking 1 or 2 games after TDL and a 'to do' list for next season. Curious how this looks in a month because he does play a classic pro game and is a giant. 215lb goalie.lol

On a related note.. Blumel, Nestrasil, Hrabal, Benak and Dobes.. all former USHL guys... maybe our coaches needed to stop thinking USHL is below the CHL.lol I guarantee Czechs parents/agents will see this and the USHL Czech crew will grow. The USHL all star game has 2 Czechs in it this year.

Big time! I do think, because of 4 nations this month, that the Skoda's are going to very Eurorific this year. And I love our Euro's. I honestly don't expect much from NA at all. I'm hoping Kulich does enough to not be sent to Calder Cup playoffs at end of season. Jiricek will definitely in AHL. Svozil too. Kral too. Spacek too. Jenik as well. Blumel as well. Dobes too.haha We won't even get Jan f***en Mysak.haha Get your Cervus jersey ready! Go Tomasek! Go Vozelnik! Go Hajek! Hope you love Zboril! Kaut will be Top 9. Zadina wants a contract back to NHL. So does Kubalik. It'll be a great team with a great coach. Krejcik again! But it won't be the team I want at all. the team I want has us losing but giving all those guys above a shot for testing for 2026!
 
Blumel getting another third line look. Jiricek getting another 3rd pair look. Dobes seems cemented in for now as the backup. Ivan is back. Chytil is playing. Hronek is back. Nosek is back. Lauko is back too! There is some good!

Blumel got one but it was called off upon coach challenge .... the poor guy

Btw Pasta tied Necas in scoring right now. He will win the Czech scoring race after all again lol

It is a tremendous problem to have. I knew Necas wasn't a 150 point player.... yet. Still leads team in scoring, still top 15. Still could go on another heater of a month. I want 82 points in 82 games and that is still in the mix.
 


Last game he scored but called back for an offside

This one counts! That is 6 games in a row and he seems to be getting some decent minutes.

I did not have Kulich at 1C with Thompson on my bingo card this season.. not even next season.lol Just tuned in (to watch Kulich) and he seems to be actually playing on that line with them.

Also, Jiricek is taking a regular shift still (2 injured D so he will go back to Iowa) and the previously injured Ivan and Lauko are in that game too. Nice Czech afternoon in America as they celebrate a holiday Monday.

He won't win the Art Ross and had a hell of a slump but Necas is 1 point away from his totals last season and his January has been much better.

Career best is 71 points and I think he can pull that off. My dream is 82 in 82. Needs 30 more points in 35 more games. I 'think' he can do it barring injuries.

Necas just beat last years seasons total and is rising up again
Kulich seems to be full time at the very least and temporarily on top line
Blumel still in NHL (but probably not for long)
Jiricek is still in NHL (but probably not for long)
Dobes is the greatest 5 game goalie on earth
Dostal continues to be strong
Hertl scoring at a nice rate right now
Hronek is back and looks good (shooting a lot more and his shoulder was clearly a problem)
Gudas is on top pair
Vej is playing very well
Mrazek is playing very well
Lauko is back
Chytil playing a lot
Pasta is back to elite
Zacha on line 1 again
Ivan is back

It's been a shit Czech season but we may be at the best Czech part of it right now.lol

My biggest grip is Filip Kral in AHL.

It is certainly much less depressing lol and the trajectory of our young guys is upward.

Next year I want Kulich to be a legit top 6 FWD with pace for 50-60 points,
Jiricek full time,
Sale getting games in Seattle and someone from the group of Svozil, Spacek, Alscher, Hamara, Dvorak, Sapo, Chmelar, Mysak, Szturc going full time or being on the way to full time.
Blumel to actually make it in Dallas or some other team

For the next season OG:
Pasta(A) - Zacha - Palat(A)
Kulich - Hertl - Necas
Kubalik - Chytil - Kase
Sedlak - Faksa - Kampf - (basically 20 players who can be subs)

Hronek - Gudas(C)
Jiricek - Spacek
Rutta - Svozil - Kral/Krejcik/Kundratek/Kempny

I would love to fit in Cervus there as the leader, but I just dont know instead who, his age is being a big dissatvantage at best on best I am afraid and I just thing all the players listel will be a bit more usefull for the team. And Pasta can be the leader also.

In the D one of Krejcik/Kundratek/Kempny will probably be there instead of Svozil, but I would just think that on skill alone how I put it together is the best we can offer right now. But experience may have a bigger weight here.

Pretty much ... small quibbles and we'll see who rises up in a year.

Rulik loves his Euro's so it's good you tossed in Kubalik, Kase and Sedlak. I think he'll be looking very closely at Zadina as well. Hajek and Zboril. His World's nomination will be telling. Cervus will be tricky a year from now.

As far as next guys:

Yup, these guys aren't teenagers anymore (well, Sale) and some inroads need to start happening. Spacek is buried in Minnesota. They are DEEP on D for years and got Buim and Jiricek in the pipeline too. He needs to work his ass off in AHL and be traded. I think acquiring Jiricek is the end for him.

And expect me to be pissed when most these guys aren't availble for the World's in April! I hear Iowa is not that great so that could free up Jiricek and Spacek so watch them be 'black aces' and not play a single game. Cleveland is good so kiss Svozil goodbye.lol

Outsider could include Klapka.. he's better than Kondelik and would be better at the same role IMO.
