5:1 (so far but probably will end like this) > score looks much better then what was happening on the ice.

Hrabal was amazing, Galvas too, Hradec line was very good, Kos should be in first line.

Defense looked a bit shaky exactly as we were worried about, Husinecky need to pack his shit and dont play another game. Masta is not good enough for 1st line and PP

Pretty much all my views as well. Boar said Masta is an excellent PKer so keep giving him those minutes. You don't need to be an excellent PKer to be on line 1. Totally different job. Sale needs more and I think Kos/Stancl/Jecho provide that.

I'm fine with Husinecky on pair 3... maybe he PK's too? Jiricek, Port and then Husinecky. Minor tweaks.

Hrabal was outstanding.. he is more like Vokoun/Dostal in that he is very calm back there and in position. Not like a Mrazek/Hasek at all.

Galvas was great! Didn't notice Dvorak at all.

Great start.. bring on Kazakhistan! Swiss vs Slovak game will be awesome tomorrow.

Maybe he was angry rather because of some verbal exchange between him and Židlický which we couldn't hear.
Zidlicky is an edgy player.. he probably got that sweaty leather palm right in his mouth while calling him names. He's good at post whistle scrums. Shit disturber. I have no doubt Adam pissed him off. I also have no doubt he wanted to piss him off.lol

Czechia has gotten some pretty good results so far even though they have some things to work on. Could see them topping the group if they fix some of those things
ASP and Sweden is going to be a problem. We have to shake up our lines to be honest.

Young players are often calling their opponents dirty names. As long as it is no extra nasty slur, I consider it a part of the game.

Score certainly didn’t match the play. Still, Czechs did what they needed to win.

Like I said at start of game, Hrabal is a difference maker. Clearly shown here. He might be our best chance at an upset. I do like our offence too. Just needs to be set up properly.

PP and PK looked good.

Swiss look like they could be good enough to beat Slovaks. That will be a beauty tomorrow.
Major hats off to them.

Good luck going forward Swiss!

Yeah. I'm happy for the Czechs they got to score a few goals and they probably deserve the win but most goals got scored because of the refs and I feel bad for Neuenschwander who was the victim today. The Stancl goal was scandalous because if I saw it correctly it was him who took down Muggli a few moments earlier. That's crosschecking even 5vs5 and it's certainly a penalty while a man up. If you allow a team with man advantage to cross check the short staffed team like that then scoring PP goals suddenly becomes pretty easy. The other two PP goals are questionable at best, too because the Czechs tried to milk those calls the hard way with some impressive acting skills. I wouldn't call them dives but embellishments for sure, at least on the call vs Gredig.

But the refs honestly made bad calls and no calls both ways and they lost control. They just ruined the game completely. IIHF should probably try harder to raise the standard of refing or at the very least not let two refs from smaller/non traditional hockey nations work a game together. Not sure who thought it was a smart idea to let refs from Latvia and Denmark work games together at a WJC20 tournament.

Yeah, the scoreboard often doesn't say much about how the game was looking like. This was rather a 3-2 game or something like that. If the Swiss scored the opening goal or tied it 1-1 (both were close), it would have been a thriller until the end. Certainly the Swiss have a high quality and good chances to beat Slovakia today. I won't be even surprised if the Swiss give Sweden hell of a game. They have a really good mix of players with significant experience with high class men's hockey (NLA) and players from the NA junior leagues.

The referees had a bad day both ways. I wouldn't call any of the (non-)calls scandalous but too many of them were controversial, both calls they made and situations which looked like penalties and were not called. Players of both teams were apparently uncertain about what was considered worth a penalty and what was not, which is never good for the game.
