Sweden just setting themselves for their annual disappointment parade obviously :sarcasm:

Good game, ice was bad, Czechs killed their own momentum with stupid penalties, could have been interesting in the third otherwise.

Well, we kept ASP of the sheet. Our PK got a lot of work. Hrabal was excellent (I don't blame him for one of those goals). We said before this game we need to stay out of the box. Instead we moved into the box and built a tiny home and lived in it. Congrats Sale for the record 19th point.

Other than one stupid penalty after another, I thought we played well.

This is a great time to lose. Gives us a nightmare quarter which sucks but we know what to work on. PP and take less penalties. I'd like minor line jigs. The guys in top spots like Husa and Masta were invisible. move them down the line. Move the drafted kids up the line.

Willander and ASP have both been extremely consistent this tournament. Especially defensively.

But my pulse usually goes up when Hurtig and the other guys are on the ice.

Solid game by Sweden. Nice to see Thelin bounce back.

Sweden was really good tonight. Any opponent would have to deliver a very, very strong performance to beat them, and this was not the case of tonight's Czechia. Too many defensive mistakes, in particular Fibigr had a completely bad game. The 3rd and 4th goal in the quick succession were the game breaker. Add two bad penalties taken in the last 10 mins and that was it. There were some positive sequences too but many things remain to improve for the extremely difficult QF game.
