So, yea, it's not stand alone and weaves it's way throughout the game once you open it, thanks! The DLC can give you an entirely new ending too.

Well I don't know if that's strictly accurate. It's it's own massive quest line that's fairly disconnected from the main story outside of some characters popping in here and there. The new DLC characters don't relate to the existing ones and don't really interact with you after the quest line ends unless you opt in for the DLC ending. So, yea, it's not stand alone and weaves it's way throughout the game once you open it, thanks!
400 hrs total or just in the 4th playthrough?Got this when the Ultimate Edition came out. Fanf***ingtastic game. 400 hours and in my 4th playthrough to do all the stuff I've heard about but never ran into in the first 3 playthroughs.
I beat everything a year or so ago (maybe version 1.5?). Recently restarted with the Phantom of Liberty DLC, started from scratch with a new background. I don't love the new skill tree, but I got used to it. Otherwise the game is even better than when I completed it last.Total. I cleared everything on the map in the last playthrough, do each ending once and that took 80-100 hours I'd guess.
Makes me hopeful the sequel can be outstanding. Just don't overpromise again.I beat everything a year or so ago (maybe version 1.5?). They definitely over promised and under-delivered, but this version of the game is outstanding and moving up my all-time list. The gun play is so satisfying, the builds can be diverse, the characters/stories/quests are great, the open world is the best I've ever experienced... glad they kept up with it.
Why did you do the whole thing for all the endings?Total. I cleared everything on the map in the last playthrough, do each ending once and that took 80-100 hours I'd guess.
Exactly what I did.Why did you do the whole thing for all the endings?
Once Nocturne Op55N17 pops up in the journal, finish every gig and side job on the map, make a save, then reload from that point once you complete an ending.
Or if they made a ton of promises they didn't deliver on. They added some of that stuff in after the fact but a lot of the early promises were still let go.The fact that this game runs in a playable state on the Steam Deck is unbelievable lol.
Great game. Would be considered one of the best of all time if it didn't take them 3 years post launch to make it elite.
Tbh I don’t really get people that say it’s a different game. It feels like the same game to me and I played it a month or so after release. I think the issue most people had is 1. It was buggy on console, and 2. It was also buggy on PC if you used a hard drive. The LOD streaming was extremely aggressive and most hard drives couldn’t keep up and it cause glaring graphical issues and oftentimes actual glitches. Most glitches on PC (and tbh probably on consoles) are from this issue of streaming off of hard drives.Or if they made a ton of promises they didn't deliver on. Still an outstanding single player game, especially after Phantom Liberty.
The AI and skills were both completely changed, those are massive changesYeah I'm playing this game again now and I don't get the whole "they fixed the game" angle either. I like the new skill tree and the visual upgrades on PC are obviously transformative but aside from that it's pretty much the same game that I enjoyed at launch. Maybe the last gen console versions got way better?
Yea like that’s what is insane to me. It went from a crashing mess to me being able to play it without crashes on a handheld at a generally stable 35 fps.Not having the anxiety of "is it about to crash? Shit, I gotta save" every five minutes lends itself to a better experience
The skill tree overhaul is nice but not anything that would turn someone who didn't like the original into a fan. I've been playing for 12 hours and haven't noticed anything different about the AI but I never paid much attention to it originally. The AI and skills were both completely changed, those are massive changes
There’s also one glitch that was introduced in 2.0 that wasn’t there before. It’s actually pretty major: anything involving helping cops aggros the cops. Pre 2.0 the police AI could recognize you were assisting them and it wouldn’t aggro them or even give you wanted levelThe skill tree overhaul is nice but not anything that would turn someone who didn't like the original into a fan. So, it's more realistic, then? There’s also one glitch that was introduced in 2.0 that wasn’t there before. It’s actually pretty major: anything involving helping cops aggros the cops. This hasn’t happened to me thankfullyThere’s also one glitch that was introduced in 2.0 that wasn’t there before. It’s actually pretty major: anything involving helping cops aggros the cops. Really? They may have fixed it then cause it would happen 100% of the time to everybody no exceptions in the initial 2.0 patch. This hasn’t happened to me thankfully
I think they have have fixed it in 2.1 yea.Really? They may have fixed it then cause it would happen 100% of the time to everybody no exceptions in the initial 2.0 patch.
