On the U.S roster, Callahan and McDonagh are locks while Stepan has a good chance of making the team.

Team Sweden has Lundqvist and Hagelin likely making it.

Team Canada will probably have Staal and maybe Girardi make the team.

Slovakia with Gaborik and Hrivik.

You pretty much nailed it. However, there is always a possibility our roster could have some turnover by then. Oh and Nash?

Nash and McDonagh should make it
Staal (especially if he keeps this play up) has a good, but not great chance
Stepan could, but likely won't

You guys seriously think that Staal and/or Girardi can make team Canada? Especially Girardi? I was reading a thread in the poll section asking which D is better Canada's or Sweden's? Canada is STACKED. Staal and Girardi are not even the best D-men on the Rangers. I think Staal has maybe an outside chance if he continues his production, but Girardi? Really? Even Staal IMO is a longshot.

I'm going to include some prospects too;

Things can change but the probables; Henrik, Cally, Gaborik, Hags, Nash..and MZA!!!!

The most likelys; McD

The maybes; Staal, Stepan, and Richards (if he has a good end to this season and start to next season)

The two wild cards;

1. Jesper Fasth-Has some international experience and if he makes the team and gets off to a good start, he could make Team Sweden as a fourth liner.

2. Chris Kreider-If he ends the year well and/or starts next season well, with his international experience, it might be too hard to keep him off the roster.

Brad Richards will not make team Canada

its funny now Staalsy and Danny G are on Team Canada but Nash is a maybe. :dunno:

Well, maybe that has something to do with the incredible number of talented forwards Canada has.

Tavares, Kane, Eberle, Spezza, Skinner, Duchene, Zajac, Crosby, Eric Staal, Toews, Bergeron, Marleau, Perry...

I am not saying all these are better than Nash, but it does make it harder for him to crack the team than it is for Marc Staal or Girardi who are among the elite D-men in the league in several aspects.

first of all i know you didnt say that those guys are better than nash but im just gonna say it anyway. nash is better than most of those guys.

staal has a small chance. he is great i love him one of my favorites but i think calling him elite is a bit much. as for girardi yea he isnt elite. elite shotblocker maybe but not an elite defender. canada has elite defenders: letang weber subban keith phaneuf seabrook doughty. those guys are better than staal and girardi

Only players I'd take over Nash are Crosby, Tavares, and MAYBE Toews/Spezza/Staal.

The rest - LOL.

Speaking of Hrivik on Slovakia, I can't wait to see him on the Rangers. Maybe next year you think?

And I hope Jagr plays one more year so he can have one more Olympics for the Czech Republic. He's still a Ranger to me and always will be.

Yeah I mean Nash does amazing things out there but Crosby is on his own planet. He's so good at the sport of hockey that he should be outlawed.
